Tantus packers?

For those that pack, there is a great deficiency of options on the market right now. There are plenty of realistic packers out there, but very few that are hygienic and can last for a long period of time. Vixen Creations does make one packer called Mr. Right out of silicone, but the common complaint with it is that it's unrealistically large and would not be any more helpful in passing than simply skipping the packer.

My question is this: does Tantus have any interest in investigating into making its own packer(s)?

I definitely think that if there's a company out there that could set a standard for packers, it would be Tantus.

We actually made a prototype for one of our employees that was in the San Diego Drag Kings because she was breaking out from her packer.

We seriously looked at it a year or so ago and decided our soft silicone was still too hard. Ours isn't at all tacky and never needs cornstarch but it's slightly harder than Vixen's and when we researched the people we knew who were "packer experts" they felt that Vixen was still a little too hard.

If you have other ideas, please let me know.

I know that Mango right now is the leader in packers but they are all TPR and I've heard from stores that Mango is next to impossible to get a hold of.

Thank you for your quick response! I kind of figured that the density of silicone might be a problem, especially because Tantus is known for having a firmer product. Would Tantus ever consider using TPR to make a product or is using silicone a strict policy? I would be so curious to see what you would come up with in terms of design.

Anyway, it's very nice to know that you're a step ahead and have already considered the trans/drag community

I don't think its a bad thing for a packer to be TPR. Its not going to be inserted, just worn, and the chances of having a reaction from TPR are very slim.

I don't have any issues with using a TPR (depending on the quality- there are some smelly TPR's out there that I still wouldn't put in my body, but there are also a lot of these elastomers that are totally medical quality). Our problem is the machinery is totally different from what we use. We'd have to make a significant investment and right now banks aren't loaning money and credit cards are calling back all their limits. LOL

We would be using the same soft material that we use in O2 just as Vixen uses their soft material from their Vixskin. But it still isn't in the 00 scale that the TPR's are in.

No, it's not bad, it's just a matter or easy cleaning and durability over time.

I hadn't considered how expensive it would be to invest in the machinery for it, and how hard it would be to get loans at this moment. I'd definitely be interested in seeing how the O2 material would work out, even though comparatively it is a bit stiff. Maybe a few years down the road we'll be seeing a Tantus packer, who knows. I'll be keeping an eye for it!

How stiff is the O2? Right now I'm packing with the Tantus Sport because it's easier to sterilize than the more realistic toys. The Sport is so small and skinny that it can bend to "kiss its base."
