Back to the point. There are many here @ EF that know a lot more than I do about anal issues. The first thing is that a lot of anal play can and should take place before you even consider anal sex.

However, now that I know better, I find that it is extremely pleasurable. Just make sure you try small first and use lots of lube. There are more tips in the forums
