Shopping by Brand? 4 Simple Tips To Follow When Making a Glass Toy Purchase.

Below are some simple questions to ask should one have any questions or concerns on their glass toy purchase.

1) How long have you been manufacturing glass sex toys? AND
What is your experience in working with glass specifically as a medium

2) Does your company use a polariscope to check
finished goods for structural integrity when appropriate?

3) Can you furnish at least 3 WHOLESALE account references with at least 3 years of individual commerce history? If the company is younger than 3 years, do the glass workers have at least 3 years of history making glass sex toys exclusively, and can references be provided?

4) Are you commercially insured not only as an adult toy reseller, but as a GLASS adult toy MANUFACTURER? (Many products can be manufactured out of glass, make sure you are buying from a business who is insured in their specialty)

Any reputable brand will be more than happy to answer specific questions you may have about their business practices.

Oh stop, Red, you're making me blush

In all seriousness, a polariscope is not only a useful tool, but a necessary one. All shops should have one, know how to use one, and make it a part of their quality control protocol. It sees things that our eyes simply cannot.

Thank you, Sir Feel free to ask us anything at all regarding anyone's glass products. We are professionals and are here to inform, educate and provide answers. Lampworking is a science--equally an art form. I'm thrilled to see everyone's interest here on EdenLink. What a great place to "clear the air" on many misconceptions. We are finding more incorrect information out there than correct, and unfortunately the majority of it stems from a plethora of fly-by-night companies/websites and their FAQ pages.

Great advice and insight. So much better then the trial and error method. With the price of glass toys you want them to be awesome and I have been disappointed due to my ignorance of the facts.
So many companies just jumped into glass toys w/o a solid background.

yes, so many companies did just "jump" into business. The majority of these companies are also no longer in business selling adult toys. Glass, yes, but toys, no. This is why it is so important to make sure the manufacturer has several years of history under their belt. All manufacturers should pay their dues to make sure they are going to be a name brand one can trust. I wouldn't go so far as to say they didn't have a solid background, but rather didn't have a solid background in this side of the industry...the experience was with hollow tubing making a completely different type of product.
