I don't have a toy box and just keep them in a drawer in the bathroom. I just had guests over and they found my stash! It was a little funny and I am glad it wasn't anyone I didn't want to know : )

Has anyone ever "discovered" your toys?
I keep mine in my walk-in closet, nobody except my husband knows about them.
Why don't you buy a plastic drawer unit similar to this, and keep it in your closet? Get one at Jo-ann (with their 40% coupon), it wouldn't cost a lot. It doesn't take up much space, and it's more sanitary than leaving your toys in a regular bathroom drawer.

@Rossie - yeah, but that thing is clear. But they do come without the clear, see-through drawers. I've been meaning to get something like that for my toys. They're in a desk drawer/on my nightstand/laying all over my room in boxes right now. They're taking over!

For my toys - I keep them in a closet organizer that has three drawers and then a top shelf and a stack of three shelves above with glass window doors. In the upper shelves i have about six or seven rabbit style vibrators and a glass dildo along with my pride and joy big pink real looking 8" insertable (YES YOU SHOULD GET ONE ) which is suction cupped in a proud erect fashion to a 6 inch tile. I also have about a hundred prints of my naked self in various poses and doing various things before we moved everything to digital. She "Found" this stash of stuff - and about passed the fuck out. She doesn't seem to search my closet anymore after that shock.
As for the camera thing I handed it to her at a Nickleback concert to look at a couple of the pics - she went searching right up until she found the two shots of my freshly made creampie with me laying spread eagle on the table in my living room... Also more then she can handle i guess - poor little weak hearted thing.
My mom has also stumbled onto my collection several times as it has moved around as she has a habit of being a super kind and nice mom and folding and putting away laundry when she comes to visit.

i have yet to purchase myself some toys, but i did once find my ex-best friend's... i actually knew about them, but after a house party she let me and a guy friend have her bed while she was in her parent's bed. me and the guy friend were just chatting and his mindlessly opened her bed side table drawer and closed it quickly. laughing and asking what it was (it was a rabbit of some sorts - he didn't know what the rabbit part was for)... i never told her until a little later, and she got super embarrassed about it. i thought it was hilarious. i find it nothing to be embarrassed about, but to each their own - and i did apologize for his actions.

No real big deal in "finding" any of my things. Most of the time I just open boxes in front of whoever happens to be around. I do keep them in boxes in a drawer though, for sanitary/politness reasons. (I have a box for silicone, one for jelly, one for plastic, one for clothing type items and one for lube. The most organized part of my house.)

We purchased my son this lockable tote for his toys. I thought about getting me one, it is like a trunk, but plastic.Like this, but they were $20 at the store.

I used to keep my favorite toy under my pillow so that it was right there when ever I needed it. Well one day I had a friend over and she wanted to take a nap. I totally forgot it was there until she came out of the bedroom and said, "I think there's something you want to put away under your pillow." I was totally embarrassed. I was hugely apologetic and ran to put it away.
I now keep mine in my drawer in my night stand. So far no one has ever found them.
