5% point "refund" on products

Contributor: Falsepast Falsepast
So you get 5% of your order in points, but what if you use points to pay for part of the order?

Lets say i order something for $100, & use 4000 points ($40) to pay for part of it, would i get 5% of $100 or 5% of $60 (what i payed in cash, not points)?

I do believe it's five percent on the bottomline, regardless of the form(s) of payment.

In my experience, that has been the case. 5% of the total, regardless how it's paid for.

It is a flat 5% of the total, regardless of payment. Of course, this does not count free review assignments or other free items. But it is 10% on double points weeks!!

Double points weeks are special, surprise events that occur when something awesome happens in the way of milestones for Eden. Like our last double points week before the Valentine's week was for hitting 50,000 reviews. You'll never know when they're coming but they are definitely awesome!

I just placed an order using only points (about 10,000 pts) and got my 5% reward (500 points). So yes, just as others have said.

Regardless of any affiliate codes, sales, discounts, or payment methods, whatever the bolded "total" is at the bottom, you get 5% of it

paying with points is calculated just as if you paid by cash or credit card. so the same holds true for your subtotal counting in full towards any minimum purchases for free items

In doing the math, it always was a %5 return on the entire cost of the order. It is like a refund in a way. I wondered this myself, and did the math.
