Gift card/ points conversion question?

Okay, what I was wondering was with the gift cards from points, you still gotta factor in shipping costs too, right? Just making sure.

Yes, unless the order is over $59, then the shipping is free. What I do is wait until I have everything in the cart, select the shipping, add any discount codes I might have and then make the gift card.

YUP! Unless you are a reviewer and you request an item for a buy out assignment, then the shipping is free and you can use your points to pay for the rest.

Administrator assignments are always free shipping and you can add up to six buy-out assignments to that order and any other items you wish to purchase at full price and still get free shipping.

If your order is under $59 and you do not have an assignment assigned by an administrator in the cart, then you factor in shipping. If you're international, none of this applies.

Tim's suggestion of not converting points to a gift card until you see your final total with tax (if applicable) and shipping costs is a fantastic idea and it's how I also place my orders when I use gift cards.

If your order is under $59 and you do not have ... More
I do the exact same thing, I wait until my order is ready to be placed then make a card for the total amount that everything comes out to.

Rather than having it sent USPS? I believe that as long as you have the points in your account you should be able to

Yeah, my issue is that the usps priority mail box isn't too discreet in my situation. I live with someone who will just rip into my mail and boxes if I'm not there immediately. Brown boxes look more like amazon and should be left alone.

That not only sucks, but is also illegal I believe. You can definitely use points to pay for shipping, so if you pick UPS and have to pay shipping, you can cash in some of your points.

It is absolutely illegal to open mail that does not have your name on it. It's called "Intercepting US Mail Belonging to Another" and is a federal offence. Probably more info than you need here, but if you want to press charges (might need to find a new roommate) just follow this link link
