Thank you for all the hard work on fixing the problem. This is life. New laws are created every day because of people who abuse privileges/systems. It's a shame it had to fall over into EdenFantasys, but whenever someone feels they can cheat a system, they will. I appreciate the staff at EF and their care and concern for the people who use the system legitimately. Thanks for all you are doing! Whew! Now I can place my order this weekend, lol.

NICE. New system actually just sounds way easier than copy/pasted codes and stuff anyway. Thanks for working really hard at this, being patient with our sass, and updating us so quickly

Yay! Thanks for getting this all sorted out, guys! I've just been waiting for this to get sorted out so I could order a MiMi finally. Of course they're all out of stock and I'll have to wait anyway, but thanks anyway! It definitely sounds like a better system than the old one, and now maybe we can stop having jerks robbing EF.

Because we can't gift points to students etc, can the gift card thingies that ya can buy be in smaller amounts so I can continue to reward my students????
So instead of starting at $25, perhaps allow them to jump in $5 amount - $10, $15, $20 etc.
But that then is still sharing points from another account.

Ummm, what stops those scammers buying those with their points or did I not understand something mentioned about it here (anything is possible ... hehe)?

Even with the update, couldn't these people just keep using their multiple accounts and then make multiple orders? There's currently no way to verify if a single person has a single account attached to them. If Eden were to require some sort of proof (credit card, etc) that the user was over 18, they'd also have proof that the single account has a single person attached to it. I know not all people have credit or debit cards, but other ways could be used to verify.

Yeah - I second this! It would help to flush out those scammers who open multipal accounts.
I wouldn't have an issue showing proof of who I am - I have nothing to hide! And that also would help for those of us who have more than one member from the same household (same ISP) so Eden can see the accounts are from different people.

Even if ya had to show ya drivers licence (for those who have them) for ya account.

I really like your idea

All of those ways could be gotten around. A 16 year old can have a debit card with a Visa logo if their parents OK it, so a card is hardly a verification.

So we can now use more than one EdenPoints-generated gift card on an order as long as the points were generated from our own account? I have a leftover balance on an EdenPoints-generated gift card that I want to apply to an order, but the balance is not enough to cover the order.

Is this fix currently in place so that I am safe generating my current points into a gift card to use with my old gift card?

I went ahead and generated my current points into a gift card, and both gift card codes generated from EdenPoints were accepted during checkout.

However, I have run into an unforeseen (and previously not experienced problem): at the very end of checkout, an e-mail is required for updates. My e-mail is in this slot, but when I press enter, I keep getting a message that an e-mail is required. I have tried retyping the e-mail and resubmitting and also typing in another one of my e-mail addresses, yet the system thinks there is no e-mail present in the slot.

HELP! Does anyone have any suggestions? I really want to place this order.

Wow! I'm late to the party. First, boooo to the point farmers & scammers. And Hooray! To the great Eden staff! I don't exactly know who are the techies, but working in IT, I know that this stuff can be pretty involved and take a lot of strenuous hours, so thanks for making everything work!

Here is a thread I'd started explaining my problem placing the order. To fix the problem, I added a small item and paid the difference with a credit card. It seems as though we cannot pay exclusively with EdenPoints gift cards, but it is instead necessary to pay a portion of the order with a credit card so that the system can verify the billing address.

If this is an intended feature of the new system, my intentions in posting about it are not to complain. I just wanted to mention it in case it is just a glitch that needs to be worked out--and a glitch can only be worked out if you know about it (and then have ample time to work through it, of course!).

I ran into the same issue last night and didn't realize the solution until I read your thread this morning. Hopefully this is just a glitch in the system and we will be able to pay for orders entirely with points/GCs.

Based on the number of points I usually earn in a day, it would take me approximately 6.8 years to place a $5,000 order on points alone. I can't even imagine the hijinks that were involved.
