#AskEden - Gift cards and bank statements

Contributor: sodapin sodapin
Hi,

I apologize if this was posted elsewhere because I couldn't find much on the topic personally D:.

I was wondering....if I have a gift card value that covers my entire order (the total comes out to 0 dollars), would Web Merchants Inc. still show up on my credit/debit card statement showing $0.00? Or would there be no record of this on the statement at all?

I'm curious because my parents are quite nosey and may investigate anything "unusual" that shows up on my statements. If it still DOES show up on the statement I suppose I could get a Visa gift card or something, but then I'd have to pay $25 or so for that!

Thanks in advance for any help!

As long as your giftcard covers the whole balance there won't be any charges to your card--have no fear!

If your gift card covers your entire order, then nothing would show up on your bank statement at all.

You could always use paypal also to cover it. It will list on your bank statement as paypal.

Delicious Surprise and SMichelle are right. If you pay entirely with a gift card, there won't be anything to show on your card statement.

Thanks so much for the replies! Lol I guess I'll use the Visa gift card for a future purchase then and KrissyNovacaine that's a good point I hadn't really considered.

Thanks again!
