Is it at all possible to have an option in the Alert section on each product to have a warning if an item is going to be discontinued in the near future ... if such a thing is known by Eden?????

I have just found a number of items that are gone and I would have snapped them up if there was any possible warning.

I realise there probably couldn't be warning on some but wondered if Eden knows in advance on others.

I think this is a great idea. even, better, they could put it on sale and get rid of the last of the stock

This is a great idea. I really think that they should send out alerts for when a product is going to be discontinued too. If you have "liked" or "favorited" the item, they should send out an email stating that they are going to be discontinuing the line. This would be great!

I would definitely use this type of alert service if it were available. My wish list is massive, and I'd definitely give priority to items that were about to disappear.

I would really like this to happen, but don't know who/where to suggest it to.

I have another request I'd like to see happen for an update with the site. When we are in product search for our monthly assignments I like that they have the items with 0 reviews, but I would also like there to be a way to search just the items that have at least 1 but with less than 3 reviews so I don't have to spend all day looking at vibes and find one in my price range and then check if it has less than 3 reviews on it. If we could narrow the product search down even farther like less than 3 reviews on it would be a GREAT improvement and I see that to benefit every contributor. That's my .02 worth though.

This, exactly!

And it isn't just the actual reviews, you know. There are also the products that have been requested for reviews, but the reviews have not been written yet. I had this to come up a lot this month when I was looking for my free assignment.

That would be a great idea! It seems that some toys never come back after some of the deep discount sales (70% off or whatever). It would be great to have a dedicated "last chance" section of the website, to help us prioritize our purchases.

This would be a great idea. There have been many times that items on my wishlist have been discontinued. If I had known that they were going to be, I would've bought them immediately.

I highly agree with this too! It's always frustrated me that I have to go into all the reviews to find if there's under 3 verified reviews. It was easier when the reviews use to have it beside the reviewers name, but when they came up with that star graph idea they really f**ked us over in that department.
It's not such an issue when I'm choosing my own item cause I just keep trying to request the items I want to try until there is one available. But as a mentor looking for a toy for a student, it's a total nightmare! And I don't have all friggin' day (any more) to be on Eden searching through thousands of products!

I did this thread yonks ago, so I guess nothing will happen about a discontinued warning, but surely the product search idea wouldn't be that hard to put in place. Perhaps contact JR with it.
