No 30% off reviews for sale items?

Contributor: Shellz31 Shellz31
I have really wanted the Delight by FunFactory and was excited to see it on sale for the $111.74. I thought this might be the only way Im going to get this toy due to the high price attached.
I wasn't planning to place an order for another few weeks but figured if I could do a 30% off on the Delight, I'd throw in a couple of other toys to make the postage worth while.
Only to my disappointment, the 30% didn't come off the $111.74, it was off the full price when it went to my cart.
To me, there's no incentive to bother getting it now then. Why can't we still have the 30% off the sale due to fact I would be reviewing it???
Is this another glitch - someone PLEASE say it is....lol.

Hey Shellz31, I'm not sure exactly what you were trying to do, maybe a buyout? Or use a coupon code? All I know is that coupon codes don't stack onto sale prices. Coupon codes take a percentage of the price off of the full price. If there is a sale, then either the sale applies or the coupon code applies, and I think you can kind of choose which one you want. Unfortunately, they don't stack, and I don't think the situation you described is a glitch. Sorry

You can't add a buyout discount to a sale price either. Only one discount at a time.

I was wanting to do a 30% off buyout (in exchange for a review on the toy) while the toy is on sale cause it's normally close to $150.

Awww, so you can't use coupons on sale prices... I hadn't tried that one so good to know!

So the 30% buyouts aren't on sale toys either?
Thanks

Ohhhhhh nuts!
That's a shame. Really would like that toy. So wish I lived in US - I'd snap that toy up cause shipping would be cheap!

Thanks for that. I'll go sulk in the corner now

LOL.

You can't do the sale+buyout/coupon at the same time, however:

You can request multiple items at 30% for order, you just have to finish all the reviews for them before you can request 30% again.

Most of the time the 30% off is better than the sale price anyways, and if the sale price is higher than obviously you want that!

The only super expensive toy I really really want is the Pure Wand. And the Eleven. And some of the Insignia.. oh and Lelo. Lol

Get the Click 'n' Charge version -- it's the same toy, and 30% off of that one makes for a really awesome deal.

Also, if you order 50$ of stuff shipping is free. I usually wait and order a few things at once, grab the 30% off on them and then shipping is free.

If not I use Edenpoints for my shipping.

What? You can request multiple buyout review items at once?

Hell yeah! You just need to finish them all before you request more.

I think the most I have ordered at 30% at one time was 4 .

You can't use the 30% buy out on an already discounted sale price.

Yep. I discovered that accidentally a few weeks back, and ordered a bunch of the SSA Glass toys all at once.

Wow - I didn't realise you could get more than one 30% off at a time.
I decided to go for the Alia after this and was about to checkout. But if that's the case, then I will get the Delight as well.
Shipping is never free for me - Im in Australia. I made a US$380 purchase a few weeks ago and shipping for us just gets higher.....lol.
But when you buy that much, $37 express shipping is fine by me - I get my items quicker which is the main thing.

ToyGeek - I really like the plain Delight ... only cause of the neat case it comes in. Unfortunately I'm one of these people who is often inticed by the storage that comes with an item.
But... the other one will be a reasonable saving... torn..
I really like little pouches or ideal packaging to store my toys in. I don't like them touching even if it's safe to do so. Plus I live on a dusty dirt road so it travels inside easily. Even though I have the toys in a draw and soon a toy box, I like to have extra protection. I have one FunFactory toy (Curve) and I modified the box for it but it takes up a lot of room. If they came with a pouch too, I'd definitely get the Click 'n' Charge. Even if I buy an Eden pouch for this one, it brings me up close to the price of the Delight. Only costs me about $5 extra to get the one with the case. BUT - I did really want the pink one instead of having to go for the black/white.

I hate making decisions!

Maybe I should grab my SaSi at the same time cause I was going to get that in 2 - 3 weeks time anyway.
This is certainly turning into a better day than I thought!!!!
Early christmas!

Thankyou cherryredhead88! Glad someone knows all the ins and outs...hehehe.
True - I realised the 30% off was better than the sale price and I'd write a review on it anyway so might as well get it cheaper. It was just wishful thinking that ya could do the 30% on top of the sale...hehehe.

Thankyou everyone. I so wish they could arrive tomorrow.......I'm sooooooooo impatient...hehe.

I eneded up going with the Delight - I couldn't get over how cute the case is.
I bought 6 X 30% buyout toys...lol. Going to be VERY busy. They probably won't arrive til the 6th Dec so I have a week to store my energy...lol.

These ones should keep me amused until I buy more before chrissy.

Also, they don't all have to be done at once, but within the three week time frame I suppose.

It took me a month one time to do a review but I was never chastised for it or anything, I think as long as you get them done it should be fine.

Now I'm wondering if I went over the three week timeframe when I reviewed either the Pure Wand or the Echo. I certainly took my time experimenting with them.

Lol, see I don't think it is that big of a deal to Eden as long as we get them out. I've taken some time on some reviews and I have never even received the automated warning email.

I think the staff is pretty lax about that, they have so many reviews to publish and whatnot anyways.

It would probably be a bigger deal for the free assignments, or if someone just got a toy and never wrote the review. But I don't understand why in the world they would do that, because that's just stupid! Why would you want to ruin the beautiful opportunities provided to you by Eden?!

Yeah, I just looked at the dates, and I was fine. Silly me, getting worried for nothing. I'd be cautious about overfilling my cart with buyouts, though, in case some sort of work crisis arose or something.

I'm not worried about time - I have plenty. With working from home and for myself, if I don't want to work - I don't....hehehe. That has happened a fair bit since joining Eden...lol.

I took longer on my Sanatorium and Wife Swap DVDs - I think. But it takes packages close to a week to get to me (the courier also only delivers out this way on certain days) but gives me 2 weeks to use and review.
I like to give each toy good usage too before doing the final review.

So I'll be pretty busy throughout the days (and nights) when they arrive. Lol.

Oh, I'm not worried about the size of your shipment, I really meant the "my" in my comment -- a work-related crisis in my life can mean an unexpected 80 or 90 hour week, which usually triggers a migraine headache, and there are two things that are impossible (for me) when I'm exhausted and have a migraine headache -- good writing, and orgasms. So if I bought nine toys at once, and two weeks got gobbled up by work and its side effects, then nine reviews in a week would be a bit more of a challenge than I care to face.

If the item is 30% or more off, the 30% will not be added.

If the item is 25% off for example, an additional 5% will be taken off if you choose it for a buy out.

It is not a glitch.

Personally, I just discovered it a few weeks ago. I had thought we could only have one at once, but whether that was policy, or a computer glitch, or just something I made up in my head -- no idea.

It sucks but I can understand why they do that. They already put a reasonable percentage off on a regular item and using your 30% off or any other coupons would make it even cheaper. Buying a dildo for 5 dollars is totally awesome but it is a huge loss of profit for EF.

I do but don't understand. I guess it does really make sense though. They would go out of business.

What truly blew me away, in the sense of Eden's Generosity - was when I bought my ROAE I got the 30% even though I paid for it with points and because I waited until I had a review item being shipped It was shipped free.

I didn't realise you could buy more than one item at a time (even if in the same order) with the buyout discount, In my last order I got one item with 30% off, but the other I didn't even try for the 30% off. But please don't think I'm complaining.. I don't think there's anything I could ever complain about regarding Eden, their generosity in unequalled

I've found that if an item is on sale then you can't stack a code onto the sale item and will only work for the other non sale items.
