Correct. If you just placed the order while logged into your account, the points will appear in your available balance once the order ships. You should see them "pending" until then. If they aren't appearing at all, feel free to send us a support ticket!
Also, make sure that you were logged into your account when you placed the order. If you were, then the order will be accessible from your account. Unfortunately, if you weren't logged in, we don't have a way to retroactively attach orders to accounts, due to security and privacy reasons, since sensitive information like your name and address are displayed when accessing an order from your account.
