Oh my gosh! How cute! You have a hamster too? AW! I love my little Hubert Hamster. They're such fun and entertaining pets. Makes me wonder why so many people hate them. You hamster is so cute! The others are too. I'm so sorry to hear about your dog who had stomach cancer and for Tupac That is SUCH a hard thing to go through, losing your pets. When they're like your babies it's devastating. Love the names of your pets and how awesome that your little dog gave you some strength and happiness in such a horrible time! That's such a nice story.

That is pretty scary how your Tupac and hamster! I would've been panicking. Lol

By the way, how does your dog and hamster act towards each other? Does your dog sniff the hamster and get excited when he's out of the cage? My dog Pookie loves my Hubert Hamster! I don't let him get close, but he gets really happy when I've got Hubert out. Lol. It's strange he's always kind of fathered our other pets. He always carries the baby kittens we've had in his mouth and treats them like a mother cat would! He's a freak. Lol. The cats don't really mind Hubert. I'm sure they'd love him as a snack (a hamster nugget!) but they don't bother him except Kallesie. She tried getting to his cage. Scary! Lol

When I took a picture of my orange cat into work (which is still on my desk) you wouldn't believe how many people were shocked when they would ask what the cat's name is and I'd give them a female name! You're right, it's very rare for an orange cat to be female! Fuzz and Hannah are special

All of our pets have been rescued and they are all so sweet and make such wonderful friends and family!

And you're right, I never noticed it before but I've never EVER seen a male calico either Hmm

Oh I had a hamster just like Hubert when I was young. And I just had a few memories back. Thanks for that.

I know why you can't have a male calico cat. Actually, it's possible but very very rare. The reason is because the genes for coat color is on the X chromosome, and in short females will have a black color on a X and orange on the other X and be calico. For a male to express a calico coat, he'd have two XX instead of one.

Lol thanks and yes they're unique. I love that you rescue pets! Most of the pets we've had were rescued from either being dumped out around our town or abused. My twin finds abused pets all the time and brings them to me. It's sad to see pets just being beaten or neglected. One thing that infuriates me is for someone to lazily dump a pet on the side of the road. Strange because just earlier tonight my partner and I saw a kitty in a parking lot that we were trying to figure out if she was dumped out or just wandered away from home. & just the day before, I was going to tan and my partner and one of the kids were going to the store and we saw a poor abandoned cat, a gorgeous one too! It was awful. So while we went & bought food and fed it and when I got in the car and started pulling out I looked back and the 12 year old boy had her in the back seat with him! Lol. It was sweet, but so horrible to see them dumped out and not cared for.

Oops. I did not mean for this to turn into a rant. Lol. I've just been all fired up about people dumping pets out for the past 2 days. Lol.

Man, I have been seriously sick after getting this damn cyst removed, but I wanted to respond to this now that my internet is working!

Yep! I have Biggie still and he is pretty entertaining. I know a lot of people that hate them too. A friend of mine had a really vicious one that actually turned me off to hamsters, but I wanted to get a little caged critter for a pet anyway. I couldn't resist the adorable tiny Russian Dwarf Hamsters! Yeah, I still find myself really sad since I grew up with my dog Bear and I hated to have to see her suffer with such a horrible illness. I miss Tupac too since he really didn't deserve to go the way he did My little Aspen sure did help me out! She's beginning to get a little Hitler moustache now lol.

Actually Aspen is TERRIFIED of my hamster! Seriously, she will fight you just to get away from him. He calmly approaches her and tries to sniff at her but she just runs away and hides LOL. I always tell my parents that Biggie threatens her by saying stuff like, "You're gonna wind up swimmin' with the fishes like my brother 'Pac. Yeah, I'm talkin' to ya, mutt." I used to hate cats since I've always encountered douchebag kitties, but I kind of like them now. The only problem is that I'm severely allergic so there's no way in the world I can get one : (. My sister had a Russian Blue and I loved the Hell out of that kitty. It was the cat that caused me to actually like them more, but my sister moved away and I still don't know what that idiot did with the cat.

I also wanted to say that you have some CUTE pets! Hubert is simply adorable!

That's so funny about you're biggie being terrified of him. Lol. Also it's funny that you say he threatens him! That sounds just like me. Ha Ha. When my partner and the kids start tumbling around with each other it scares Hubert and he'll give them the craziest looks so I make him talk. Lol. "He" says things like "What the F are you looking at fool!" Haha. That's what I tell my partner that Hubert says about him. Lol. It's too funny.

The Russian Blue kitty sounds gorgeous! I wasn't always a cat lover either and one day it just kinda developed... and never stopped! Lol. Some aren't very easy to deal with, but ours so far have been pleasant.
