I started the new having fun with friends. I renewed a few resolutions from the last few years: Visit at least 2 foreign countries if not more this year. Continue to remember I get to decided if I'm happy or not. New resolution to move on from my last ex.

I just stayed home with my husband on New Year's Eve, the kids went to bed at 10 and we just spent some time together. It was nice. No resolutions.

My partner and I were really sick so we stayed home, cuddled on the couch, watched the Twilight Zone marathon and kissed when the clock struck midnight.

I would have preferred to be out on the town but it was still a good night.

I grilled outside in the cold (!) and did a potluck party with some friends. Fun + cheap = perfect party for working 20-somethings.

I spent my New Year's at my cousin's apartment with her and her husband, some of their friends, and my boyfriend. It was a pretty chill party but quite fun. And they were kind enough to supply the bf and I with our own room to sleep in. And um. Do other things in.

My resolution is pretty much always to lose weight. I technically succeeded last time but I have more to go.

I stayed at home w/ my husband, our 4 teenagers plus 3 of their friends. We did fireworks & enjoyed our time together. I couldn't help but think about it likely being our last year with all the kids as the 3 boys will be in college next year & will surely have better things to do than hang with us. I don't take resolutions all that seriously but in combination w/ turning 40 last week, I did decide it is (past) time to take better care of myself, ie: workout, eat right. (All prayers, crossed fingers, Buddha belly rubs, etc happily accepted )

Happy New Year to all of you & yours & may 2013 be your BEST year yet only to be topped by every one thereafter!!!!

Did the 25% off coupon expire at a certain time today bc I have been trying to use the code CHEERS25 & keep getting a msg saying that it expired on 1/4/2013. It IS 1/4/2013!!!! So I'm not getting what's going on! Thanks for any help you or anyone else can offer.
