and yet I didn't receive any points in exchange. I'm wondering if this was a mistake or if points are no longer rewarded for writing articles?

Hey Experiment!

You mean this article: link ? The link you included goes to a neat looking honey bee necklace! =D

There were some updates to points and payment procedures for SexIs articles in October. You can find them in this forum thread here. Basically, we've added a five day waiting period for points to be added to your account, so you should receive the points for that article in 2 days or so. And there's a new bonus points program that takes 2 weeks to payout. For a description of that, check out that thread I linked.

You will also see it under the edenpoints tab as 'pending'.
