I think whatever is best for the individual and their life, their desires.

nothing wrong with being a housewife if you 1) good at it, and 2) your family supports it. No shame should be felt in either station, I think!

Whatever is affordable, makes a woman happy, and works best for her family and their schedule. I say the same thing about men staying home. If a woman is a corporate lawyer married to a welder, it's pretty safe to say I think if either of them is staying home, for the better of the financial security of the family, it's best to go with the bougie job instead of the working-class one.

I enjoy people who are housewives/househusban ds, but that's simply my dynamic in the relationship. I prefer to be the working partner.

For us it isn't a matter of which we prefer, both of us have to work to support us.

I don't think either one is "better". They are both difficult, and can be rewarding positions and people should be respected in whatever capacity they feel most comfortable in.

I would like to be a housewife, but I would also want a small job on the side.

I'm a homemaker with one adorable baby and I would hate to put her in daycare. However, when she is in school I'll probably get a job just to get out and socialize and earn some extra cash. I also have some small online businesses going that I work on during her naps.

I believe that it is all uppon the female. Decisions like this no one can make them for you except for yourself, and the person whom you are with. Everyone will always have their opinion of what they think others should do, but different things work out differently in different situations, and if this is what you are comfortable doing, I say there is nothing wrong with it at all.

I think it depends on the individual, but my big concern is whether women are really making the choices they are making out of free choice (because they have and perceive options) than because society has socialized them into believing that they should be something specific.

For me, the right choice is to have a career. I couldn't be happy as a "housewife" and would never define myself as such, even if I weren't working.

P. S. I prefer "career woman" to "working girl." Working girl is also a euphemism for a sex worker... (which I'm not against, provided it is a career chosen out of free will and not necessity, but also isn't what I do)

I think that the most important thing is that you are doing what is most beneficial to your family. If your family is in a position that that is staying home and being a "housewife" then that is great, if not, then being a "working girl" *Which by the way, is a common phrase used for a prostitute and i don't think its really effective wording for this question lol* is a great thing. As long as your family is being taken care of that is really all the matters.

I would prefer to being a working person rather than a stay at home mother. I have no desire to have kids, and staying home drives me insane.
