I think there would be a lot of smiley face comments so even though I think it's a cool idea, I'd vote no.

I agree haha. Seems the majority of comments on a lot of things are 1 single smiley face! it's incredibly annoying. I would love to see a minimum character limit when posting something, especially comments on products.

I've seen one writer who gets really defensive when people comment. To be honest, the comments were also defensive. I wouldn't say he loves the commentary, though!

Yeah, like here, min. 3 characters, that would indeed be a better idea...

Though hell, sometimes when I comment on a product I can't think of anything better too than a smiley, cause what in the world to write, that I like it, that I don't like it (the common "want" and "like" words, instead of saying "I want one", "I like it"), what good qualities the product has and what I don't like, it wouldn't make any difference, so sometimes only a calm, casual smile is all I have in my mind about it...
(Always feels like am spamming though, but oh my, that's what comes out of my mind... ~blushes)

I minimum character limit would be a good idea. A really small one, like a minimum of 50 characters or so would be enough to weed out the smiley faces but short enough so comments don't have to be novellas.
