Tucker's article on sexy travel movies got me thinking about all the great travel movies I love to watch.

Which one from Tucker's list is your favorite? Why?
Which movies do you think should be on the list, but aren't?

My favorite movie from this list is Vicky Christina Barcelona. The whole movie just sort of oozes sex in a very laid back way and the Spanish setting is intoxicating.

One of my favorite travel movies is Only You with Maris Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and Billy Zane...not just because they are all gorgeous actors but because the movie is set in Italy.

They travel to Rome, to Venice and to some small Italian sea-side village I cannot recall the name of. The scenery is amazing and so sensual... they could have just filmed without the actors and I'd have watched.

I clearly need a trip to Southern Europe...soon.

Is it bad that I've never seen ANY of those movies? HAHA!

One that I think should be on that list is The Thomas Crown Affair, if that counts as a traveling movie. I absolutely love that film, it's extremely good.

I haven't seen any of the top ones, only the three series mentioned at the bottom (Star Trek, Indiana Jones, and James Bond). My favorite is definitely Star Trek

It's not bad, now you have a HUGE list of suggested movies to rent!

Oh, I do love The Thomas Crown Affair. The scene where Rene Russo is on the beach topless totally qualifies that as a sexy travel movie!

The Beach is a bit sexy as well as really creepy. I really like Under the Tuscan Sun though. And Raoul Bova is dead sexy, which is a great travel fantasy in of itself.

The only one I've even seen on that list is French Kiss - which I do like. However, if we're not limited to exotic and far away destinations, my favorite travel movie would have to be Elizabethtown....it includes a road trip across part of the US and exposure to an area in the south that the main character wasn't particularly familiar with.

Oh man, I can't believe I forgot to include Only You! That was the movie that made me fall in love with Robert Downey Jr.

And while it's not exactly sexy, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy with Zooey Deschanel and Martin Freeman is a sweet little love story with travel around the universe, instead of just around the Earth. It's really different from the book, but I still really like it!

And why are there so many movie franchises based around men who globe-trot and seduce women all around the world? We need a female character in the same vein as James Bond or Indiana Jones!
