Do you do stuff on EdenFantasys that you don't really need to just to earn points?

Nazaress Nazaress
For example, do you add items to your wishlist that you don't actually want and make widgets that you don't actually need?

Not really. I will do a few things that I don't normally include if I just need under $2.00 points to make my order, but other than that, no.

That's definitely a good time to do it. Those couple extra points can really help!

If I remember, I'll throw something in the comparison when I don't need to. I usually forget though so I hardly ever get those points. Other than that, everything I do is stuff I'd normally do anyway.

I do sometimes, but most of the stuff I do is stuff I do anyway.

I'm a little inclined to believe in you.

I put it as private so hopefully I'd get honest results but I find "never" to be a little hard to believe. Lol.

I think everyone does it sometimes, and people who say they don't are just.. I don't want to call anyone a liar, because I know some people care less about points. But Eden wouldn't choose a business model they couldn't afford, you know? They wouldn't give us the opportunity to earn points doing things if they couldn't afford the upkeep. So, why would it be morally wrong or looked down upon to promote their website? Every review, every search, every discussion post links Eden to more searches on Google and other search engines, and it brings it in profit and customers. Not everyone has discounts on the toys, or the products offered, so when people who aren't reviewers buy, Eden gets a lot of profit and is able to fund toys for reviewers like us.

Most of what I do every day is on the site and what I do normally, ie; posting in forums, commenting on new reviews, commenting on old reviews, following new people. It's a part of staying active on the site, but I think everyone, when they've got their eye on that perfect toy that would normally break the bank, saves up and looks at the list to see what they may not have done. That's just me. I won't call anyone a liar, but I think it's impossible to put 'never.' Sex toys can get pricey for quality, we all know that and we all appreciate Eden for making our lives touched a bit more by toys that we can share with others and learn more about OURSELVES with. Point farming is kind of eh, if that's your thing, that's your thing, and others just come on the site and review and post occasionally. But either way, I don't think Eden itself put the generous limits on the daily allowance to discourage us from reaching it. Every product sold is still money they can put into furthering their website and making it a great place for us all.

I used to do a lot of stuff I didn't need to do - but now I'm more like this post above - if I need some extra points for making an order I will do some unnecessary stuff - but eh...not so much.

Of course right now I'm in the middle of writing a ton of reviews and those take up a lot of my time.

Not really, no. I always interact when I feel like it, it's not for points at all. I just enjoy answering polls and posting on the forums.

This, at least, is the same for me. I've been wasting some odd hours on here today and I'm definitely past the point of getting points.

I did extra stuff during double points week and I will if I need extra points for an order. The only thing I do that is extra regularly is facebook liking things, but I do this while doing my normal activities like reading reviews and checking out new products or articles.

Definitely. It's a nice incentive (or rather, a reward) but I would never spend as much time on this website if I wasn't having fun, no matter how many points they gave me.

I said "yes, rarely", but I only did it once. I was like, 20 points short.

I don't care about them enough to do things I don't want to do.

This. I only do random stuff if I'm a few points short. Otherwise, I don't pay attention.

I have, in the past when a few pennies short, made a widget but I fully intend on starting a blog one of these days so I don't think of it as wrong per se as just something I did before I should have.

I only do this when I am shy on points or when I see that my points are not dividable by 5. For some reason that is a peeve of mine.

Like some of the others said, I will if I am a few points short. But, I did it alot during double points week so that I could buy stuff for my secret santa person.

In the past month, I have set a daily goal of 200 points, but it is hard to say what is necessary and what isn't. Are comments on reviews necessary? Comments on products? Whether you like it or not?

I stick to things I have an interest in, so I am going to say they are necessary, though others might say otherwise.

Thanks for the all the votes and comments while I was gone, guys!

@ Ms. N: I know what you mean. Before I was very active with the site, I was only getting 74 points a day (and I was amazed by that). Now that I've active and have found enjoyment in the forums and the like, I usually make over 200 if I'm not on a lot during a day or over 400 points if I am on a lot.

I dont see a reason not to, the points are an incentive for people to make the site look active which will draw in new customers and make more money for ED.
