I love EF, and no longer shop anywhere else for "adult" items, but am noticing more items I want are always "out of stock". Does this concern you too?

I love EF, and I've noticed that there are a lot of out of stock things, as well as a lot of discontinued products. Honestly though, if I want a toy, and EF no longer carries it, I'll go somewhere else to buy it. EF is always my first place to check, but I'm not going to lose out on something I want because one place doesn't sell it anymore.

Just be patient though, if the stuff you're looking for isn't discontinued, it'll probably be back in stock soon.

THANKS for all the responses. Glad we are not alone in thinking this, and worrying about it. We love EF!! It is part of our day now!

Yeah, there are many threads about this. I just chalk it up to the economy and try to focus on what they do have. In their defence, I've seen items out of stock go in stock, it's just they don't last very long when back in stock. I guess ... more
I actually looked through the forums for comments before even posting this, and honestly was surprised I was not seeing any "threads"!?! I must have really not used the right "key words".

I usually buy what I want "right now" too. However, lately I find what I want...and it is not in stock. Months later, it is still "not in stock". These are Lingerie items more then toys. The high end toys we have wanted seem to always be in stock, actually.

I hope we are wrong about this. I would hate for EF to disappear into the night.

I don't buy anywhere else, right now. However, I too "look around" and items that are "not in stock" at EF, seem to be "in stock" a lot of other places. I don't get it. That means the manufacturer can still "provide it".

I'm concerned too, but at the same time, I'm looking forward to the new things coming.
Not sure how many "new things" can come along. Pretty much everything on the market is already "listed" here. Only when a new item comes along for the entire industry, does it show up here as well. Many "out of stock" items seem to be popular sellers at other sites.

That is slowly becoming our situation. I know we spend less time here then just a few weeks ago, and that is purely since we know when we find something we want, we cannot buy it. It would be like going to Sears to by lawn equipment and finding every mower and trimmer on display was "out of stock"!

Us too. Seems that it is "out of stock" for a while, then "discontinued".

Believe me. We looked. There are a few good "adult toy and lingerie" suppliers, but NOTHING like EF...with it's reviews, size device. Etc. This was, is the best site ever. Even the site itself is so darned well designed and incredibly user friendly.

I answered yes, but concerned isn't quite the right way to put it. Annoyed, maybe?

I'm glad EF doesn't just automatically discontinue everything when it sells out and that they keep the items listed as out of stock instead, even though it can be annoying when your wishlist ends up being 90% out of stock. I don't know whether they do that because they can't get more of something from the manufacturer, or whether they're waiting to see if people keep adding those items to their wishlists, or commenting on them (which should mean more now that it's not for points), etc.

I have a lot of faith in EF that they know what they're doing, so my only "concern" is whether we'll be able to get the particular toy or lingerie piece we've been lusting for! But we're not looking for another site. Eden is the best and keeps getting better. We only shop elsewhere when EF discontinues something we REALLY want and it's still available somewhere else. If Eden had a way to "special order" items like this, maybe with a longer wait and/or slightly higher prices, we'd probably use that.

I have been waiting for a number of items since November. When I sent a support ticket about three weeks ago, I was told they would be back in stock in two weeks. Still not back in stock. There is no way that it could take that long to get from a manufacturer. If your customers are constantly complaining about stocking issues then you need to look at your buying systems. EF has a lot of data about what people want from their wish lists so they can anticipate demand with the right systems. To stay competitive you need to meet the desires of your customers. Other than this EF is amazing! I hope they can get the right people hired in the buying department to get these stocking issues resolved.

I haven't had any problem ordering the things I want. Then again, I don't place a lot of orders...maybe one every month or two. I'm not really concerned about them 86'ing items--I know it just makes room for new stock.

Really? You hope they can hire the "right" people for purchasing? There's a helluva lot more to this than just picking up the phone and placing an order with a vendor. Given the way EF offers discounts just about every day, there are some items vendors don't want discounted. There are also a ton of items you may personally be interested in that don't sell at all. It's a very smart business move, more importantly, it needed to be done.

There are MANY items that I have wanted that are always out of stock or have been discontinued, so I just simply do not shop here anymore. With all the crap going on, combined with the crap coming in and good stuff being gotten rid of, I shop elsewhere now. Pity.
