Since i had to pick one, i picked material. Simply b/c i wont purchase anything that cant be steralized and is not body friendly.

I look by material first of all then all the other extras, speed, options, wireless is good for me.

I like the power, then the price, then the fit. With a bit of imagination I can get almost anything to do something. The manufacturer might be surprised at new usage, though!

I look at the material first and foremost, if I don't like what I see then there's no point in looking any further. After that it's noise and power as I have roommates to take into consideration then the reviews if the reviewer has had a problem with an item I feel is likely to irritate me too I need to know although sometimes the review will be so good I'll want it then and there

I like to check out the reviews first.

Testure mainly because I can't handle nubs or ridigs but I hate completely smooth toys unless they have drag.

Tough to pick one, but I'm a fan of reviews. Knowing others enjoyed it probably paves the way to my enjoyment as well.

Quality (materials, durability) , size and shape are important. My main concern is that I am buying something that will last and that I will enjoy.

Noise and appearance. I'm in a dorm room with some nosy roommates.

Honestly, this would be my ideal vibrator:

A vibrator that's in a makeup brush (perfectly disguised)
Virtually silent
Has "rumbly" vibrations
Powerful, multispeed

That would be my dream vibrator right now.

Right now it is the size, noise level and what kind of batteries it takes (I use rechargables, and only have AA on hand right now.) Positive reviews also help too.

I went with material because that's my first "sort by" option. My second "sort by" is strength.

Pretty much everything, but the filter that I always have on is for diameter. You can't enjoy a toy if it doesn't even fit. 1.5" is currently my max, but there's a lot of toys at 1 5/8" that are just way too tempting that I'll have to try at some point.

Before I was really active on Eden, I wasn't very well educated in the area of what materials are better than others. Now it's one of the first things, if not the very first thing, that I look at.

This was almost impossible for me to answer because I'm still fairly new to this.

I'm becoming more conscious about the materials items are made from and will consider that but a lot of what I look for is reviews by certain reviewers. Gunsmoke is one of my favorite reviewers because I know I'll hear about other products in comparison. I love Alan & Michelle because they do thorough reviews - as do so many others (but their names escape me right now).

If one of those people who have seen lots of products writes a favorable review - I am far more likely to add it to my wishlist or buy the product than if Joe Schmo writes one review that isn't very detailed.

Price is also a biggie for me. Size too.

I guess I can't pick just one thing.

There are actually several things on the list that I look at at the same time. I think of it as a qualification list; e.g. is is the right size, is it made of material I prefer, does it have the features/functions I'm looking for, will it do the job I intend to use it for, etc.

Once a toy qualifies, then I look at things like durability, craftsmanship, color, etc. I also use reviews to see if the toy worked for someone else.

Most of the time, I look for the higher quality items. I believe that you get what you pay for, so I shop accordingly.

A mix between good reviews and the material of the toy.

I had to vote other, simply because it's a mix of pretty much everything on the list. We don't buy a toy unless it seems perfect for us!

All the features are important, but the material can make or break it for me.

I hate getting a toy that is not the size I want.
So I am extra careful to check the sizes out.

If it's a dildo or vibe, silicone all the way and nothing else. Other toys, it's not so important and I focus more on reviews and price.

If other people don't enjoy the toy, then I figure I probably won't either.

That was hard to pick just one. I mean obviously material but after that there is features & reviews.
