Sale/promotions explanation

Contributor: Cherrylane Cherrylane
So I just recently read that you can only apply a promotion code to a single item rather than a whole purchase.

So I was planning to get multiple items which all totaled well over 150, and using the 30% off on all of it. Now I'm realizing I can't do that. Not too much worry, as one of the items was over 150 to begin with. But now I'm wondering if I can use the other discounts in the same purchase?

So like the 30% code on the $150 toy, another code on an item that's $40 something, and another code on an item that's $55? Or can I only use one code per purchase? Or do I have to make separate purchases?

Are you talking about the WISH promotion codes? That will take off 30% from your entire order (including multiple items) as long as the total is over $150.

Oh awesome. That's what I had originally thought but then I was reading these terms that said how all promotions and sales were only applicable to single items, and then I got all discombobulated lol.

Ok so now I'm confused because the new promotion coupon that was emailed out is for 25% off your entire order, but can't be combined with anything.

So. Is that only useful for people who are buying less than 150 dollars then, who could otherwise use the 30% off? Srsly, there are so many different promotions going on right now I'm so confused dangit. I don't want to order my stuff wrong.

If you're ordering over $150, use the WISH promo. Under $150 you should use the contributor promo.

Well now it doesn't matter anyway because I was going to buy some JJ products and now they've done another fuckass skeevy non-promotion that makes everything more expensive than it would be if they just didn't do shit at all.

I'm honestly starting to hate how they seem to run their business enough to abandon attempts to purchase a single god damn thing from them. They're vibes are overpriced in the first place. Other companies doing specific sales are doing it to help customers.

Jimmyjane, don't think you're winning anyone over by giving a 20% sale on products that would otherwise have 25% and 30% discounts if you had done nothing. It's not appreciated, and you know what? I don't think you need the extra money. I shall go fume and decide on some other shit to buy.

/hostile rant.

I was gonna get some JJ stuff as well before they launched their 20% promo. Now not so much...

Yeah they seriously have me pissy at this point. That was the number one thing I was going to get. Over 230 dollars worth of stuff. One item of which was not JJ, the rest was.

Now? No. Don't think I'm doing it. They already had a 20% "sale" that was supposed to have ended on the 19th. I watched it go by. And one of their reps seems to have lied to me about a sale they didn't seem to actually have in November and resulted in the price of one of their items seeing an inexplicable $100+ hike.

As much as I think I'd like some of the products, I'm too frustrated and turned off about it to want to give them money. Or even points.

Meh.

The contributor promo is an email that went out today to the contributors (aka "reviewers") giving us a one-time use coupon for one order between now and January 8th. The coupon is for 25% off and each person has their own one-time use code so it isn't like it can be shared.

So if you've done reviews (I don't know if it was this year up to this date - or if you've ever done reviews before today on this site) - then you should contact JR about getting the coupon.

If you haven't done reviews...then you won't be getting an email.

Hope this helps.

I may sound stupid - but it is my understanding that as an advanced reviewer (I'm not sure if you are one - I didn't check your profile - sorry) - you can buy up to 6 items per month at 30% off....why not buy the items you want at that discount and then do a review on them?

Just remember - if you've already received a free item to review this month - you can't do a buyout review for 30 (or 31?) days from when you got your free item.

Kinda like - do your buy-out reviews at the same time you do your free item assignment.

I can. But I have a lot I would like to buy... now.

But now I kind of don't. Because JJ's pissed me off.

Additionally, I can't figure out how to go about doing a buyout. Looked around, can't find. Do you just... put it in your cart and it gives you an option? Idgi. Maybe Im just slow.

Do "Grab It" on the product page. Then click "Assignment Cart." Then click "Request Assignment" and do the "Buyout" option.
