I'm a big fan of EF and quality, and from the reviews I've read - Jopen certainly make quality products.

However I've also noticed that they are rarely if ever included in EF sales and reviewers are not given the customary discount.

OK - there's nothing wrong with making a profit - but if you do an Internet search - you'll find Jopen products sold for substantially less by reputable companies - in some cases 40% less.

What gives?

I'm curious about this as well. I've seen them before not excluded from the buy more, save more, but it seems this time they are the only ones not included in the deal. Weird.

Good question!

I've been waiting for a big sale since I finally decided which Jopen model I wanted to buy. Then I noticed the fine print that Jopen was *not* included. Since I've never purchased a Jopen before I never noticed whether or not they were included in these sales.

Since -Kira- noticed that previous sales didn't exclude Jopen, I'll keep my fingers crossed that they're included again in future sales.

Same here. It'd be nice to have a sale on them. I'm sure they'd fly off the shelves.

You posted your question on Saturday. The staff generally does not work on the weekends and currently they are not even open for business this morning.

I could be wrong, but I thought I had read elsewhere that manufacturers can dictate whether or not their products can be on sale. If so, perhaps Jopen is the one preventing discounts.

I've read that before too Kindred. That's why sometimes Lelo, Je Joue, etc. are not included in the sales.

It is interesting, because on the last buy one get more off sale I did take the plunge and get our first Jopen, and was planning on getting another this go round. I think Kindred and unfulfilled have hit the nail on the head, Jopen may not want to be part of this sale. If you really want to try out a Jopen on a deal, there is always the buyout option as well.

Thanks Kindred!

That's exactly the situation. Whenever we have a sale or special, we clear it with the manufacturer first. Most of the time they're fine with it. Other times, they have their own reasons why or why not.

What prevents reviewers from getting a discount?

Why are other published prices so much lower?
