An idea for contests

I've noticed at least a few times when the contest prize offerings are more lady-centric. I think it would be really nice for all contests that have a "package" reward to have at least a female package and a male package. I'm single, and have no use for lingerie or vibrators/dildos/whate ver that aren't anal safe... and undoubtedly there are women that see a contest and think... I have NO use for a fleshlight or a cock ring.

Just a thought! I know a lot of work is put into everything and a LOT of suggestions are made, but with the gender equality Eden seems to strive for I think this could be easily remedied. It would also likely increase the male participation in different contests!

I agree. I think it would be nice if there were at least two or three different prize packs that the winner could choose from. Not everyone can use couples toys, not everyone can use masturbators, not everyone can use lingerie, etc. Giving a choice makes it a little more fair.

Not saying that the winner just gets to choose whatever they want, but coming up with a couple of different packages would be a nice idea!

For the most part, Eden does contests and giveaways to coincide with a theme.

For instance, right now we're doing our huge Valentine's Day contest. The prizes are typical Valentine's Day gifts, plus products from those manufacturers who chose to sponsor the contest. It's definitely female/couple centric.

At the same time, EdenCafe is doing a giveaway this week based on our Valentine's Day Playbook. The prizes are a $500, $300 and $200 shopping spree and the winners can choose ANY items in the Playbook. That's stuff for him, her, them. For kinky folks, for transgender folks, for vanilla folks. It's just about everything in the store!

EdenCafe does giveaways every week. Most times they are for *new* and exciting products and, in this industry, that's admittedly mostly products for women. However, we also do male centric giveaways every few months and, to be frank, they are generally not well participated in. Not nearly as well as the others. We continue to do them, however, because we definitely don't want to leave the guys out of the loop. We just have to do them in proportion to the amount of products that come out for him vs her.

Does that make sense?

Contests are a form of promotion and, sometimes, a way to inspire community participation. While we try to be fair about how we do them, we also don't require anyone to participate. Like the contest? Please, join in and have a blast! Don't like it? Ah, well. With some luck, next time you will.
