Formatting shortcuts for posts

There is already a roll-over window listing the syntax rules for formatting the text in your post, but you can't CLICK on them to have them inserted into your post. This is so useful on other forums (mainly thinking of the ones running on phpBB, which I keep wishing these forums were on instead ) and I think it'd be great to see it here, too.
