I know there have been discussions in the past about the way our reviews are formatted after we submit them, but tonight I've run across a few things while going through my reviews.

I do not mind dealing with the stylizing of font. However, I really don't care for links being inserted in my reviews leading to other another person's review of the same product. I also don't care for links being put in leading to a completely different product.

In 3 out of my 5 reviews, there were links leading to other reviews (one of them even had 2 links). In my review for the Cyberglass Four-Way G, I linked to the product page for the Rainbow Mega-Nubby, which was changed to a review by somebody else.

In my Size Does Matter storage case review, there was a link leading to the Just In Case II, which I never mentioned and doesn't make sense.

I have taken these links out of my reviews, but I want to know why this is being done so often. Why is it necessary to link my review of the toy to someone else's opinion?

To put it plainly, it's not "being done"...No one is putting links in anyone's reviews. I'm sure there is a techie way to explain that when you copy/paste a link, it can be redirected - which is why we have a helpful little 'link' box in comments etc. I handle the reviews and I often REMOVE links. I have never, not even once, inserted a link. Never. Ever. If the links that you embedded are not working correctly, it's a technical issue...not some grand scheme or conspiracy. It's not "creepy" - it's just a glitch.

We have covered this ad nauseum lately...but I'll do it one more time...when you have an issue with your reviews, your ranking, your assignments - whatever..SEND AN EMAIL. Starting a thread in the forum is not the way to get your problems resolved.

Maybe everyone thinks they've conditioned the Eden staff to compulsively check every single thread and reply to every query, but you haven't. We reply to you; but every time, we ask that you send us an email. An email that can be forwarded to tech staff, an email that can be followed up on, an email that can be easily found later and referenced.

Are you saying that a link that originally goes to a product page will redirect so someone's review of that product? And that a link will appear where the reviewer did not place one? I know EF has fancy web programming, but that's pretty nice!

I, for one, am glad this thread was started, because community members deserve to know if this is really going on. It's one thing if Miss KissThis doesn't know what she's doing when she puts links in her reviews, but it's another if they're being changed (even if it's by the system). Shouldn't all reviewers be aware of redirections?

I wasn't expecting to have anything "solved". There's really not much to solve, as I can remove the links myself. I was just curious if this was only happening to me, or if anybody else had a similar experience. I'm sure I did not place links in the review, so was just wondering as to how they got there.

In the future, I will be sure to send an e-mail.

I think you misunderstood...if it's being redirected, it's a glitch. And if there's a glitch, we report it and get if fixed. Links are tricky on any site...I've noticed that they get broken into segments in the forum sometimes. I don't think it's fancy programming, it's just a disconnect somewhere.

Sorry for the questions, but does that explain links popping up where there wasn't a link put in by the reviewer?
