Offensive product description for 'Fuck Me Silly' masturbator?

Fuck me silly mega masturbator

There have been more than a few complaints about the offensive language in the 'Fuck Me Silly' and 'Fuck Me Silly 2' product descriptions, yet both remain unedited. I've never encountered language so crass, derogatory, or misogynistic anywhere else on the site—if this were my introduction to EdenFantasys I would absolutely leave! Can the descriptions be updated or just plain taken down? I've included just the first sentence of one review below...

"You've always dreamt of fucking a hot bitch like this, so what are you waiting for? Take your fuck slut out of the box, push play on the hardcore DVD, get out the free lube, and pound that bitch 'til you Fuck Her Silly!"

Wow. That's not even the worst of it. Here's more from it: "She's warm, she's tight, and she NEVER says no! ... No commitments, no bullshit, and no worries about knocking her up." You're right. This is really bad. This should be taken down or something. I can't even find the words to describe my shock.

I was at an info seminar a while back and had a female Pipedream rep tell me in reference to this line of products that, "You can either get offended, or you can just laugh at how ridiculous it is. I choose to laugh," which I felt wasn't a very productive way to look at the whole thing. She tried to explain that it's marketed towards a specific kind of heterosexual male and so they just went to town with those cliches. I personally think that all the marketing of the Pipedream Extreme line is just really unnecessary and awful.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, this is possibly the worst (and saddest) description of a sex toy ever. It's terrible to women and assuming the absolute worst of the men who use toys.

Has anyone ever submitted a support ticket?

It sounds like she is someone who is letting something offensive and ridiculous exist simply because of her position and fear of consequences because of said position. This "specific kind of heterosexual male" is going to buy this toy whether it has an ignorant description or not because a real woman won't want to have anything to do with them.

(Note: This is not to say that people who use this masturbator or any masturbator can't get a real woman. In fact, I got a masturbator for my boyfriend and we have a healthy sex life. It's to say that men like this are misogynistic and need something like this because no woman would be able to stand them. I don't meant to offend anyone with this statement. Unless, of course, you're of the sexist mindset that appears in this description and in which case, be offended as we have to be.)

Precisely! Just because a man wants a masturbator like this or any other style, it doesn't mean they're some kind of deranged person who would rather fuck a mutilated pelvis than deal with a woman's "bullshit". Sometimes a man just wants to make masturbation better, just like a woman does when she uses a toy. It doesn't mean they're a misogynistic asshole. This toy description is sexist against women AND men.

(Pardon my french. This whole thing just upsets me.)

This is the kind of blatant objectification I expect on sleazy free porn sites, not a community like EdenFantasys. The misogyny alone is bad enough, but the description practically reads as though Pipedream were encouraging guys to go out and dismember real girls for use as sex objects. There's a definite pro-rape vibe and a weird kind of pro-snuff pro-mutilation thing happening... 100% unacceptable (and unexpected) content!

I agree! I feel like this goes against the sex positive vibe that Eden strives for!

You know, if they really wanted to cash in on that kind of market they could have kept the vulgarity of the overall message without such harsh language. They could crudely refer to tossing "her" under the bed after the fun and play up the no commitments, no worries about "knocking her up" angle without calling the toy "bitch" and "fuck slut" every time they refer to it. There's no excuse. How can they not see that they're limiting their audience? This is marketed as a product for guys who hate women too much to even use their whole body for sex. I wish I could say I didn't own anything made by Pipedream but I do.

@AndroAngel, I'm going to submit a support ticket. You guys should to!

Agreed that the language on this is inappropriate, especially for Eden.

Wow. I'm surprised that got put on as the product description. While I do get that it is marketed towards a 'type' of hetero male, it is pretty extreme. I can understand marketing it towards them, and saying some crass things, but it almost seems like they tried to make it as vulgar as they possibly could. I think it limits their audience by being too over the top with it.

Yeah that's pretty creepy. Just because some people like offensive stuff doesn't mean it should be encouraged by the companies who put stuff out. Shame on them.

I don't like this at all. It should be taken down because it is offensive and that kind of speech really isn't necessary to selling a toy. This is so weird that it is up at all.

I'm not seeing anything on that page that reads like that. Has it been removed or am I just being my normal blind and dingy self?

I think it's gone on that one (I couldn't find it, either), although there a similar one still here, at least as of now.

Wow that is a terrible product description! I have to say that if this was my first few reads of this site, I would think this was more of a smut site and leave as well.

I agree, something should be done about the wording.

Well, I'm the type of person that generally does feel that something is only offensive if you choose to let it offend you. As such, I refuse to let something like that get to me. However, I can see how many would be offended and I personally find it off-putting. If that were one of the first things I saw on the site, I likely wouldn't have been making the visit back. I don't think it's a good representation of the sex friendly vibes that Eden generally has. I do think it should be replaced with something less vulgar and with less of what appears to be a dislike of the female gender (aside from their anatomy). Just yuck to all of that description.

Agreed. It's just as offensive to male shoppers as to female readers, to market to them like that. Personally, I think the partial body dolls look creepy, but I know there are people who think realistic dildos look creepy, and I have one of those. A man doesn't have to be a misogynist to want to use a sex toy, and the product shouldn't be marketed to men under that assumption.

Hello Everyone! Thank you for bringing our attention to this matter. We absolutely agree that wording is offensive. This particular description was downloaded automatically from the manufacturer's website and our editing team missed it somehow. We are in the process of fixing this description. Again thank you so much!

I agree. There is free speech, which is necessary in our society and appreciated on this site, and then there is hate speech, which hurts everyone everywhere, and I would label those quotes as the latter. Is the misogynist really the person this product is being marketed towards?

Thanks! I'm relieved to hear it was an automatic download. I was imagining someone copying it over from Pipedream, but this is a much more understandable mistake.

It's kind of sad that a product description like that would even be considered an effective marketing strategy in the 21st century. Kudos to EF for editing the description, though.

Thanks, Rufina. The first time I saw it a while ago, I thought "When did Eden get this type of clientele? They're classier than this!"

Awesome! I'm so glad it's been fixed. I can't imagine how Pipedream can possibly justify descriptions like that, but I'm so glad EF won't stand for it.
