This is a repost of the thread already posted, I don't know how to delete the original thread (maybe a mod could merge that one with this one so that peoples responses are saved still?) so I remade it as a Poll Discussion.


ANYWAYS, I've noticed that most of the free gifts in the past have been aimed more towards female users more than male ones (including the current one) so I was thinking...why not have an option that's more aimed to male users around the same value as whatever the female one is at the time? I personally have no use for a g-spot vibrator or a clit stimulator, I think guys would be more appealed to either anal toys, maybe cock rings or something, or maybe something kinky...
Speaking of which I think that would be a great idea as well, 3 options, 1 aimed at each gender and another for the kinky crowd as not everyone on EF is kinky in my opinion and from what I've viewed. I've been to other toy sites that offer free gifts with every order and many do this (multiple choices, usually 1 aimed at each gender and another aimed at couples or something similar).

again the main question is to make a toy available for each gender, the thread title may come across as one toy for both genders (the current way of things it seems) but that's not what this poll is asking.

I rarely go for the free gift, unless it is something I really am already dying to have (that's never happened). I am a penny-pincher. I would rather take advantage of a coupon code and most times, I save more than the free gift is worth in the first place.

I do both, and you can do both as far as I can tell, I ordered the last free gift (the red vibe thing) and used a 10 dollars off coupon code as well as a buyout review and multiple gift cards no problem so I don't see a reason to get the free gift...it is free after all! The more toys the better!

I think it would be much more inclusive to have a free gift available for both sexes! I'm kinky so I'd love a kinky option, but I think sex-inclusive options need to be considered.

(I'd like to note that there are many, many more than two genders)

I'm aware of that Dusk, unfortunately there aren't too many toys (outside of strap-ons and a few other things) available for the 'middle' genders on EF, someone should do something about that *nod nod*

I do believe Eden should offer a gender choice. To me, it doesn't matter because I am married and my wife enjoys them. There are , I would suppose, guys on here who don't have someone a girl gift applies to.

That being said, No, I do not think Eden should have to put out multiple gifts. It is nice they offer the free gift in the first place. Thank You Eden!

That's news to me! I can never get it to work. Anyway, it's never been tough for me to decide, as the gift never appealed to me, but I might actually bother with it if there was something in that free box for me.

That's mostly why I made this poll, there are many guys that really have no use for the almost ALWAYS female toys offered as free gifts with orders. The second reason is that sometimes the one gift being offered runs out, like the shiny g which I've only been told now after 4 days of extra waiting for my order to get shipped out is the reason it hasn't been shipped yet (because they over gave away the shiny G yet allowed it to stick on my order, and I certainly have not a single use for the current gift) AND why it missed the tuesday cutoff date for shipping to Canada. I'm getting quite frustrated with Eden at this point and it's only my first order, this poll sort of proves that there needs to be more options available to both genders vs mainly one (females).

@Jobthingy, I can understand that. It's just sort of a manner of consumer equality, one gender shouldn't be neglected over the other...
Maybe if EF gave away more toys that BOTH genders could fully take advantage of I wouldn't have made this thread, but it seems to me it's usually a toy for females rather than males or both.

I think Eden is VERY generous with us. They don't have to give a free gift. My guess would be the free gifts are lower priced things, which are in overstock, which is FINE with me. (And the gifts Eden gives are much higher quality than the crap some other large scale toy sellers, who will remain anonymous, often give out as "free gifts.")

Male toys tend to be more expensive and "middle gender" as well as most "kink" toys not only are expensive, as a rule, but probably sell well enough on their own. Also, there are much fewer kink, male and "middle gender" toys available. I can't imagine having a harness or a Fleshlight or even a pair of cuffs as a "free gift." They are just too expensive. Eden IS a business.

I can't imagine the red tape involved in several different "free gifts" if one had a choice. I usually order when there is a % off discount anyway, so I rarely go for the free gift.

IMO, Eden does a good job the way they are doing it.

This is pretty much exactly what I was going to say, very well put, P'Gell
. One of the nice things, is that Eden gives you the option of the free gift, so if it's not up your alley, it's not forced on you.

I think it would be awesome, but if it doesn't change I wont care in the least. I love Eden, and I only take advantage of the free gifts once in a while. I would usually rather enter somebodies affiliate code and get them a commission. (Even when it doesn't get me a discount) Depends mostly on what is offered.

It would be nice to be able to pick, but dude, it's free stuff so no complaints. In general, if you don't like the free gift you can wait a week and it changes.

If we were able to change something, I would like to be able to combine getting the free gift with using another coupon code. I almost always use some kind of code, so I never get the gift. (Thankfully the FB friend gifts don't require a code!)

It is disappointing that most of the free gifts are only useful for women. But I agree with what someone said above, female toys tend to be the cheaper ones, and are almost always more likely to be overstocked. While it would be nice to have toys that men could use, this isn't always necessarily an option, and the fact that we get a free gift at all, is pretty nice.
