I just thought of something that would be totally awesome, especially as more and more reviewers sign up and do reviews: if there was some way for the system to figure out which reviewers are most similar to you. It would find people that have given the same number of stars to (some of) the same products as you. I have no idea how difficult that would be to implement, but it would rule. Then I could find people who like similar toys and sensations, and keep a close eye on their reviews. Reply

It sounds like it'd be tough to program, but it would be neat. It'd be also nice so you could check out the opposite end of the spectrum (say, if you don't care much for anal toys, but another user loves them,) so you could get good recommendations when you want to try something new. Reply

We thought about it. It is not that difficult to implement, however there is one problem. The accuracy of the match will increase significantly if we could use private profiles among other parameters. If you think it wouldn't be a problem (of course no one will disclose the profile info, we just use it to make predictions of the similarities).

The other way to approach this would be groups. If anyone can create a group that would assemble a similar minded people. The groups have their own limitations however.

That would be nice. I know if I find a couple or individual similar to me, I flag their profile so it lets me know when they post a new review. That's been very helpful so far. Reply

Neat. An idea like this would make a 'friend/favorite reviewer' option kind of excessive, for me. If this idea gets implimented and it's effective, my vote for a favorite reviewer feature would vanish. :D Reply

Must I choose one!? Haha. I like BOTH ideas. And I still like the "favorite reviewer" idea as a separate thing (for me it would be about reviewers whose reviews I find the most exciting to read, not really people with tastes similar to mine). This is probably overkill, but I can't help it.

I certainly wouldn't have a problem with the system using my private info. Reply
