I know there are a LOT of people who love pink. I can tell by how many pink haired avatar pics I see. But for the ones of us who aren't too keen on pink, the colors on this site get a little overwhelming sometimes. Granted, it does have more white than pink, but my suggestion is: background layouts. Have it so all the pink parts can be turned to another color, like blue or green.

I'm not sure how hard it would be to do that, but I think it would make me love this site even more.

Well, I think you do have to take into consideration that it is almost Valentine's day... A lot of things are very pink and white and red

But you do have a good idea there, if it's possible to implement.

Perhaps, if this was to be implemented, they could just have pink and green as options (as those are the two colours used in the logo... but perhaps a more moderate shade of green than the one actually used in the logo).

But, I think a lot of it is for V-Day (The cupid and hearts atop the pages, for example) and the pink is much less overwhelming at other times of the year Just hang in there a little while longer!

I am on another site that has that option. Their site allows you to change the header and text color scheme to a few different colors. From what I understand, it was not hard for them, but ever site layout is different.

I have often wondered if pink is best. I love pink, especially this shade, but I too sometimes get sick of it a bit. I think making the dominant color the green would be nice or a blue.

But honestly, I'm not bothered by the site colors much at all. I like pink and I think it suits the site for the most part.

While I personally am not a fan of pink, I do agree with laur3n that the pink does suit the site nicely. But maybe throw that green up on the pages that sell toys for him. So that men shopping the site might feel a bit more comfortable with the color. Even though it is a nice shade of pink.

Well their logo colors are pink and green so some of the pink will never change. HOWEVER, I think that as we move out of the pinkest holiday of the year, we'll start seeing a bit less of it.

I guess I'm too new to really be able to tell the different changes of the seasons. Thanks for pointing that out. And I do realize that probably the majority of people here and completely happy with the pink and couldn't imagine it any other way. I'm just suggesting something a little different for the minority of us who like all the colors of the rainbow!!!

It doesn't bother me. I barely notice what the background or colors are. I certainly couldn't complain unless the background was so busy you couldn't read anything.

I think the color options is a great idea, for those who would take the time to tinker with their account settings. As for just general customers, seems like the bright "feminine" colors may deter some potential male customers. Just a thought...

Hmm, overall, the colors have never bothered me. I like them, in fact! They are lively, fresh, and go fantastically with the white.

It kind of reminds me of those hipster froyo places, especially Menchie's that utilizes the same color scheme, and the men who eat there can tell you, I'm sure, the colors don't deter them from enjoying some sweet delights. The color combo reminds me of spring and youth, just with a modern, stylish twist that most people can enjoy, but I can see how guys could be turned off to it.

Although, I think having website templates to choose from if you don't care for the default one would be quite fun and very aesthetic. I would be all for that, something like they have on Livejournal. Maybe Eden can get some of their fans to make templates to use seasonally or for certain holidays too as well as having some others in the mix. Maybe hold some design contests? That would be so cool.
