Time Stamps

Contributor: Bulma Bulma
I would like to suggest the addition of time stamps to forum posts and comments on reviews.

I like to respond to comments on my reviews quickly, and it would be helpful to know when the comment was posted. It would also be helpful in the forums so I'm not respoding to a post that is months old and long dead.

Not sure if anyone has thought of this yet or not, but I would find it very helpful.

I gotta second this one -- occasionally, toys and lubes go through revisions or reformulations, which make older reviews not applicable. It'd be nice for a customer to see what the newest review and the oldest review say, in that light.

Thank you for the suggestion. It is approved for the production pipeline. Any specific details? Just a date or Date& Time? If Time is required, what time zone will sute? Sorry...just letting you know what programmer think of it

I think just a date for when actual reviews are posted (maybe right under the name of the product above the review, or just below the review), but a date and time for comments on reviews and forum posts would be best in my opinion, like "June 25, 2008: 10:50 am eastern" I would think that the time zone where the website is based out of would make a lot of sense. Other people might have some good suggestions too.

Hope that helped some!

I think date of the original review, and date/time stamps on comments. And yes, just putting time and Eastern will be clear enough.

What are your thoughts about post or comment date like, 1 minute ago, 1 day ago, 1 week ago, 2 months ago?

That would be good too. It would translate better across different time zones. I am not sure which I personally would prefer though. I do believe that listing how long ago the comment was posted would be more user friendly for people who are new to the site or just here to shop.

That would be just wonderful. Can I ask you when is it going to happen?

I'd love to see something like this as well! I always feel odd about posting in forums or asking reviewers questions because you never know how long ago it/they were last active. Maybe even a last login on reviewers pages?
