"I strongly agree, I think it's appropriate for reviewers to write reviews on products purchased from Eden only."

Watch him come back and be like "Oh! By that I mean also the ones you spend in only cash with here too, you know to make it fair since I know all of you point farm every day!" (said with more broken English, of course)

He's not going to take that back, he's made it VERY clear that he doesn't think very highly of any reviewer that isn't all happy go lucky about everything eden does. Favoritism at it's best and not exactly the ones you want representing a company either. Then again, you surround yourself with like-minded people.

I like this idea too stormy. Not ideal but it could work, maybe there could be a schedule of when certain brands would be inside the store. 1 month for Jopen another for fun factory

1. Reviews
Main problems:

1.1. Low Quality.
A well written, informative review is a rarity. Most of the publications are poor and ... more
1.2

Moving forward 100% limit the number of reviews an item can have. But the main problem we have been having fred is that you retroactively change rules, hence punishing people for things that were entirely okay until the magical time when you decided that they were not. To punish the community for doing something that it was 100% allowed and encouraged to do will not help you at all in bringing the community back together but rather further divide us. In moving forward fine, but do not punish us for what has already happened.

I also would like proof of these numbers. I can list statistics on anything, doesn't mean they are true.

Also what is a "EU review" in this case? All votes are EU or just the majority?

I've had one or two that were all EU and then it only takes one person to not read it and vote U just because they felt like it. Then after that more people will vote that just because someone else did. Heck some people will just vote U because a person has a higher rating or is mad at them for saying something they didn't agree with in the forums.

Agreed. The EU/U ratings are nonsense, because people don't always vote truthfully/consciously . People do rate out of spite, which I don't understand at all.

This. ^^^ It's ridiculous to now punish us for something that you've allowed to happen, and you are just now taking action. You could have done that ages ago, yet you continued to PROMOTE point earning through many means. There's no use getting angry and taking it out on us now; just fix the problem from this point forward.

I am not being spiteful, I just really hope you can realize this and understand where we are coming from. We now are victims too, it's not just you/your company. Put pride aside.

Fred, you don't charge sales tax on your site for other states, yet anyone who follows the news know there has long been talk of changing sales tax laws to require online companies to collect sales tax from customers in all states.

What if congress passed a law that said from now on, companies are required to collect sales tax from out-of-state customers. Okay, fine, that's not ideal but you can live with that, right?

But what if the law also said that you have to pay sales tax to every state based on sales for the past 2 years. Fork it over, and also you get a penalty because you haven't paid it voluntarily before now (you should have known you had to pay it. You were profit-farming!). Do you understand, that's what you're doing to us?

It seems off to me to suggest that people writing for products that already have reviews is "spam". If in the future there is a cap in place, I would definitely support that, and definitely for products like the free cock ring etc tons of redundant reviews are a problem, unless they were received defective or have new information.

I know many reviewers who try to review all products they buy out of a sense of obligation (because they want to contribute to the site, and in some cases because points were used to purchase the items), and of course everyone will want to review a product that is a standout to them - The MiMi is a standout, listed in the link on the front page "Our Top 20 Picks for Vibes with Vroom", and its obvious why when you go to the product page and see eighty reviews! MiMi is by no means an inexpensive toy, and if you scroll down you can see dozens and dozens of photographs, suggesting many reviews were undeniably written legitimate owners.

Aaah this post ended up rambling on but it really seems weird to me to suggest that reviewing a toy that already has reviews is spam, when I have never seen anything discouraging reviewers from writing for popular products save for in the free assignment section (which makes sense as you must limit how much free product you distribute).

So, it looks like Fred is going ahead with the points reconsideration even though he said it wouldn't go through if there was not a consensus? What? The other thread is closed now, so no use asking him there.

Also, he added to the point farming list: returning without the free gifts. I didn't know you had to do this. Things like wipes say they cannot be returned, so I never included them, especially if I opened them!

There is no democracy in Edenfantasys anymore, only a dictatorship.

Also I created a thread so we can still talk about this (unless they decide to close/delete this too) right here

I'm beginning to think it might be a good idea to suspend the ability to earn points for the time being. Giving a 24 hour warning first.

Just until this whole thing gets figured out.

I am very disappointed in you Fred. You open that thread up for discussion, and then close it down. It's fine for all those in North America but what about the few of us on the other side of the planet? We are not able to discuss things?

You have spoken of the points, you've spoken about reviews which are very important issues for the community. However; there has been nothing said on what I think is even more important for the community as a whole in order to carry on. I do beleive my original post is on page three of this thread which discusses it. A number of posts were bright up in agreement to my words. Not to mention, I've bought up this situation a couple of times, but unfortunately, they were deleted before anyone in the staff replied to them.

In these threads posted about Possible changes to Ef you can see there are many of us who want to stay here and work towards getting a feel for community back. However; you've ignored some very good suggestions that do need to be considered.

I've just moved and I am stuck with my iPad. It is a pain in the ass to type on and I cannot click links in posts. Please DO NOT put an expiration date on anything you do as I have no way to get to forms or do anything really till my house Internet is set up. Hell, even using the schools Internet I get a warning if I even try to access EF.

Just a friendly note: Lets keep things positive folks. I see alot of people mad and wanting a restoration of the old system. I think all of us would like to spend the points we saved up before this happened. But as I tell people when arguing for a higher pension. Be careful how much you push...the system could fold. Freds presence here is an olive branch, his point reconsideration (regardless of my opinion) is an olive branch. Keep giving constructive feedback and community will be reborn.

SO what you are saying is that ANYONE who took the provided motivation to get in reviews that were already in their assignment cart during the Review Amnesty Week are going to have to "prove product ownership by the author". How are we even supposed to do this? And what was the point of creating a thread to talk about this when it was only open for just under 3 hours. It seams a bit unfair to me that you closed it without giving people a chance to properly see it and comment. I can think of a number of people who spend the ENTIRE day at church activities on Sunday and as a result you have now made it impossible for them to put in input.

But I would say only half of what I have reviewed came from here. Many were gifts from people who know what I do. Many were freebies at events I have gone to. I used a specific condom when I dated one guy and never really use them again, do I have to track down that boy and say he liked her pleasure the best?

While I was with my ex, I reviewed products that he had bought for me to use, and no longer have access to them. I did the reviews 100% fair as there was nothing at the time that stated that we had to buy the product here. Also I have done reviews on toys which I own that were gifts. Some of them have since broken so I no longer an able to take pictures of me holding them. I can take pictures of the items which I still have, but somethings I no longer have access to as they are in the landfill.

Same here. I have no way of getting access to the confirmation of my lelo product/recite aside from my own word and having the warrantee card registered with the lelo site. This was a free gift from the Lelo company itself to test, review and promote the product and i have since thrown out the recite and apparently erased my exchange in emails to the company PR person. At this point the only way to get that information would be to get ahold of the company PR person and hope that they have that information still, as it was well over a year ago now.
All other toys reviewed here have been purchased through the site, and therefore have verification they are in my possession.

After spending a few minutes here I can easily say that all of are lacking of any wit or intelligence whatsoever. You all believe yourselves to be better than everyone else, and I can tell you right now, that that is not the case in the slightest, you pseudo-intellectuals. I am much better than all of you. Clearly I am because I am neither pretentious, long-winded, asinine, discourteous, nor are my tastes quite as bland as yours. No, I am quite concise, and I would never stretch beyond that of my means or what I am designated to.

I'd have to say that this board is full of anonymous lurkers, attackers, and trolls, who have nothing better to do than throw their elitist opinions around in an attempt at misguided show-boating with people they'd never ever meet.

None of you build any persona or stand by anything remotely attached that I can feel some sort of personal connection to. You lack any sort of direction and I can't have that. You're analogies are far too complicated, linear, and they're rather contradictory. Why, there's never even any variety here!

To post a PM publicly. Really. Because that is going to help eden function as a better community! For the record, I know I have gotten messages of people thinking that I've flagged posts and asked them to be removed. But I have done nothing of the sort since Saturday morning when I walked away from my computer. I took a 24hour break. Calmed down and realized many of you who did this in a tasteful manner and no that does not include you snonminx and don't get offended as you clearly and blatantly disrespected my privacy so I see no problems in calling you out. However things that are disrespectful have been removed. Things that community members on both sides have said including myself have been removed. I started this board to stay exclusively positive or at least a willingness to work in a positive direction as the goal was that it would actually stay open unlike every other thread on the topic. However the corrupt have taken over and there seems to be nothing I can do.

If you are not happy here go away. You are only bringing down people. Many individuals have already said they are going to ride out the storm. I honestly have yet to decide if I am one of them. That last wave of forms really freaks me out. So I too may walk away. But for the love of sex toys walk away if you are going to be evil (general you). Leave if you are only going to bring down those that want to stay. There are thousands of places outside of eden that you can go bitch about eden. Go do it there.
