has anyone else noticed Stormy hasn't been on EF this week?

I understand where you're coming from and I can only imagine how drained you are. I just re-read what I wrote and know just what you mean about a lack of tone that's able to come through. I just know you and I never had issues so it surprised me what you said.

I hope this change is a good one for you. I would assume moving forward is a positive step since being drained by something is never a good feeling. You've done the best you could here...and you should walk away feeling proud for all you've done! less

WOW!! Just, wow....

I know I had to take a break due to a tumor and treatment, but I had no idea what was happening on here. I wish I would have been able to participate more these last few months. Hopefully my return isn't too little too late.

Stormy, what is the site going to be like without you as an admin.? You have pretty much been one since I started here a couple years ago. I can understand the burnout--the standing up for your own limits of truth & integrity--the absolute exhaustion from beating a dead/old/over-rehashed subject to death...sometimes going forward is too much to hope for when dealing with change. (There are many out there that cannot look ahead, but focus behind them every step of their way.)

I am surprised at the lack of new threads on the forums but very happy with the amount of new items available. It seems there have been some nice changes in the site design and layout--also that some of the programs were coming back, like the mentor program. I was going to apply to be a mentor again, but will have to wait now until we see what is going to happen in the future.

So sorry to hear about your recent trials and tribulations. Real life always comes first, that's for sure.

As far as I know, there will be zero community management and if there is any, it will be bare bones at best. (I knew the site, the community and all of you like the back of my hand and sadly anyone who steps in to fill my shoes will not have that same benefit, regardless of how long they've worked for the company.) I do know there is zero chance of any one from the community taking over unless they were willing to move to Atlanta (or work for free) as that was one of the driving factors in the decision to let others go last year -- there was talk of wanting all of those positions in house instead of in remote locations.

But, yeah other than that...I have no idea what's going to happen around here. I think it really sucks that four prominent members returned just as it all went south -- we could have worked together to make EF awesome and possibly prevent all of this, but like I said, it is what it is. less

On the bright side---I still have BOTH boobs.... ! Thanks for the caring comment, it means alot.

I may go to GA, AL and TN every month or so--but live there....only when it is below zero here, lol!! It is too bad about the new changes, but one thing I have found out time and again is that sometimes new doors can eventually lead back to the positive ones previously opened -or- they can cement them shut and lead to more interesting paths.

EF may continue to shut down the community features until it is a basic retail site or it can backtrack and pick out the unique areas that drew new and repeat customers. Only the fates can tell....I do know that when there has been a good program or business style, there are many other sites willing to steal and run with the ideas instead of waiting for the customer base to go back to the original site. I found that out with my retail business--I lost my real estate sign delivery & maintenance program I started but discontinued when we started hauling loads. (Not a huge deal, but it still hurt overall business until I came up with an alternative sales offering.)

I wish you luck!! You will do good with the experience you have built...and who knows what other fun projects and adventures await you!? I will have fun on here, but it will be a bit different this time around, I still intend to rock it--but not as hard since I am a bit more diverse in life these days, lol! less

Stormy, I am just so sorry about all of it - things I know/guessed, or will never know. I wish I had more eloquence, but new medication is making this difficult for me to process and to respond well, dammit! You were such an asset to this company and really are a powerhouse of ideas and spirit, so it saddens me to hear you are drained; that's so telling to me that this indefatigable firecracker has had her spark snuffed out - temporarily, sure, but still! And naturally, even in this situation you have kept it professional, which is just another testament to your character. I think everyone can agree that you busted your ass for this company and never gave up even in the most trying circumstances; I just want to acknowledge that publicly.

Glad to hear it all turned out okay. That's some seriously scary stuff.

I highly recommend that people stay away from Atlanta. We can't even handle 2 inches of snow (we're supposed to get six inches tomorrow) and every day it's a new battery of crimes. (EF's office is located in one of the worst parts of town imaginable, just south of the airport. No one should EVER live or work in that area, I still have no idea how they ended up there but there are definitely better neighborhoods to pick from.)

In any event, I'm not worried. I usually come out on top, I'm resourceful. Being anything but is not an option. less

Thank you!! I have faith I'll land on my feet. I am not bitter, nor is this something that stunned me. I have an impressive resume and to be honest running the EF community was something spontaneous and new for me, I had never done anything like it before and being that I felt so at home here, it really seemed like a natural transition. Now the sun has set and I'll be riding off towards a new horizon with new adventures. I'm not scared, nor do I have any hard feelings towards anyone.

I learned a lot about people in ways I never could have imagined before and across a wide scope of human behavior. It was fascinating and that's what kept me going when things got tough -- to ultimately see if I could turn it around. Sometimes I succeeded, sometimes I failed, but I know that I always did my best. I'm not ashamed, nor guilty of any wrong doing as my intentions were always pure. Mainly to offer everyone a safe place to express their sexual desires. Due to an extremely large number of factors that none of you are privy to, Rome fell.

It happens. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result and this is the point the community is at.

Perhaps in the future, someone else will pick the ball up and get it rolling again or there may be a different direction ahead -- I don't know anymore about that than the rest of you.

I had a great time and I'll never forget any of the experiences I had here. From the first party I hosted on my own to being actively involved in major decisions regarding the community and policies thereof. No matter the outcome, my time here will always be marked as a success in my book. less

I haven't weighed in, purposefully, but I will now. I have been here since the dust up with Essin' Em and through all the problems and odd solutions to them through the years. While I love the company, and community that was built here, I have serious reservations about what is coming down the pike. I am, however, a gamer chick so I know how it goes...you start out with grand dreams and it is great for a while but it's a gargantuan effort to keep it going in the long haul.
So many mistakes were made but we have the benefit of hindsight.
I applaud Stormy on not taking the easy way out and simply doing as she was told. As usual her integrity is top notch. She really cared for the little guys not just the movers and shakers. She never considered herself more than the "average" contributor even though she poured her whole self into her work. Like Gary she simply cared and kept banging her head against the walls.

While this isn't easy for any of us (owners included) we've had a great run and some really great times...remember the parties? Heh. For as long as the forums remain accessible I hope to be able to keep in touch with you guys and who knows, maybe the future will bring some amazing opportunities to spread the word about the amazingness of responsible sex!
