Dear incredible loving amazing community,
This is a hard thread to write! But I wanted you to hear it from me. I told my Eden teammates last week and now that we’re starting to transition the management of things, it’s time to tell you.
There is nowhere else in the adult realm that comes even close to this community! This has become such a vibrant and welcoming place for so many people; and although I have often appreciated the moments quietly, it has seriously moved me to watch people connect and help each other in such meaningful ways. You give and get, push and pull, and through it all you become better for the experience and broaden each other’s perspectives. That is just awesome, in the true sense of the word.
You have all helped the Eden team become better, smarter and more compassionate, more attuned to the needs of our customers, and made all of us into your advocates – what a radical concept for a company, right? But that’s what has happened and I personally think Eden walks the talk of being community-based! What is happening here is pretty damn unique! And you should all be proud of that!
I know you will take good care of each other and of the passionate and hardworking team here at Eden. I trust you guys to look out for each other, be kind to each other, and keep Eden growing in meaningful ways! The Eden staff loves this community too – this is the heart and soul of their jobs. They work tirelessly to make Eden a better and better place, by brainstorming and planning and implementing new features and programs, and by doing the “invisible” work of maintaining all of the cool things that seem to run so smoothly from the outside. It’s a lot to manage and I think they do an amazing job!
Even though my last day as Marketing Director / staff member is May 13th, I promise not to be stranger! Don’t worry, I will still pop in on the forum and you will still see me around (I am not leaving the industry, so you’ll know soon enough where I am headed ). This was truly a hard choice for me to make. I spent almost 3 years of my waking life dedicated to Eden and I adore you guys! You people are irresistible!
*I have a favor to ask of you, now… instead of being sad... or God forbid, eulogizing me...I would love it if you would tell me about some of the awesome things you like about, or have experienced with, *other* Eden staff and with each other. Tell me the good stuff, people! Please fill up my heart with your feedback, observations, and memories of my teammates and the community.
Thank you all for being with me as I navigated some pretty crazy times and wonderful projects here, for making every day worth putting my heart into, for being there to make me laugh or to make me think twice about new perspectives. You have changed me and made me a better person.
