Lol i agree, yay for night owls. I like keeping mine on. I like to be able to see when some of my favorite contributors are on also.

I deactivated it, I never actually log off since I have a personal computer and I didn't want it saying I was on when I wasn't. Plus something about people knowing where I am and when disturbs me, like the FB 'check-in' app.

I have mine on. I just don't see any reason to turn it off. I'm not concerned about people knowing when I'm online or not. They could figure that out anyways by seeing my activity on my wall.

It's super nice when I need to talk to an admin about something. However, most of the time, I just remain invisible. It's not a big deal to me, to be honest.

It doesn't bother me. People don't really message me or talk to me (that sounds sad... I don't mean it that way), so it's not a big deal whether or not it says I'm online.

I left mine on and I like having it that way. However, I haven't shared my instant messenger information on my profile or even my email - so it isn't like little windows will be popping up with people wanting to chat at that moment.

I guess that there are times I like being able to see if a friend is on - so to me - leaving mine on is only a courtesy in case they want to contact me.

One thing I love about Eden though is that they're great about listening to us and trying to make this place more user-friendly and I love their policy of "to each his/her own" where they don't require us to do certain things.

I left mine on. I've notice some contributors say that don't mind keeping their indicator status on; that they may be on 24/7 at EF; or that they don't mind being contacted, but yet, they HAVE turned their indicator OFF! Hmmmm.....

Now that I have recently joined the Mentor program, I feel it very useful to have this turned on so any students I may have can see me online.
