None of the above? My wife has not reported any of these problems. And for my part, I have not experienced any from pegging.

Makes it easier to orgasm. I pretty much can't orgasm without anal anymore, tbh. It gave me a really painful gas bubble once, but other than that, no issues.

I don't have anal sex, but it's true that it DOES have "side effects." Most people will tell you that it does not, but that is a flat-out lie. As I said, I have zero interest in it and any kind of anal that I've engaged in (never anything that big) it's been extremely painful. Putting something in your butt is going to cause discomfort at the least unless you're so used to it, and even then, some people never do get over the soreness of it.

One thing about anal sex is that it can damage your rectum, hemorrhoids, the lining and really screw with digestive issues. This is coming from someone who's had some horrendous digestive conditions. There's also tears anal fissures, which tears are and can lead to even bigger ones. So it is important to take note of what "side effects" you notice afterwards and if anal sex is causing you constipation, it'd be pretty wise to take that a little seriously, at least. I would at least slack off if that were happening.

Gas immediately afterwards, regardless of what kind of anal play I'm doing... and I've went a little rough on myself before and been kind of sore the next morning but overall I've had no ill side effects.

Can I list mind-melting orgasms as a side effect?

I'm on MrWilly's side; is "improved life" a side-effect?

My wife says anal sex relieved her constipation.

For me, it's all about the orgasms! I did develop a minor anal fissure a couple of months back from trying too hard with the Severin Medium. Eek. But it healed in a couple of weeks and all is well again.

I always "cum" during anal. Usually harder then vaginal sex alone. I really have never had any bad physical effects. In fact, I love it a lot. This morning, after a long anal sex session with hubby last night, I sure can feel it (sore...a bit...in a nice way), when I sit, but that is only making me wet, horny and wanting more. No different then the feeling after a long, hard vaginal session.

Keep searching for a good lube. Honest, anal sex should not hurt, before, during or after, if done right. I have been doing it for decades. Believe me, the lube makes all the difference in the world. Shop here and read reviews. You will find the right anal lube for you and voila...all gain, NO pain.

Proper preparation should result in no pain, no damage and no problems in most people. People who have had severe anal fissures in the past or had a 4th degree tear during childbirth may want to be careful and of course, stop if it hurts. Anyone should stop immediately if it hurts.

I have noticed no problems at all. My Man and I took a month to train me and we are always careful, use good high quality lube, take our time and always made sure I have an orgasm before anal intercourse. If I don't feel "right" physically or mentally about it that time, we'll just skip it. Anal play actually sometimes helps me come. But, if we're going for the whole enchilada, I have to have at least one orgasm first to relax. Yes, that air needs to come out afterward, but it's more comic relief than anything else.

If it hurts STOP, retrain and try different positions, different preparations and different lubes. Numbing lubes can actually cause damage, because you could be hurt and not realize it.

So many people wouldn't be enjoying it regularly if it was dangerous if done right. We're not all walking around with damaged anuses and fissures, so many of us are doing it "right" and not being damaged in the least.

No, only positive effects.
Just use enough lube, and take it easy.

Anal really doesn't mean pain, if so you're doing it wrong.
