A douche will take care of it pretty good, you can buy them at any drug store. Just empty the contents out and use warm water. Wait an hour or so and your good to go. An enema could be used as well but is not needed. If you do go with the enema plan on doing it two or three hours before hand, you'll need time to get it all out.

That said, the rectum does not store but rather is a staging area before discharge. If you pay attention to your system and plan around it there is little to worry about. If you are not sure, just use a finger to feel around. During a shower is a good time to do this since you probably want to clean up before hand anyways.

I wash really well and as long as I know I am pretty healthy colon wise there's not much to worry about. Although I have had instances where I have felt the need to do extra clean up, an anal douche would be better than an enema for that though. The ingredients in the enemas can strip out your natural internal lubricant temporarily and can lead to problems if having any anal play.

I take a BM and then get into the shower. Then maybe start with fingers in the shower. IF there is anymore I try take another BM. If not I am already worked up!

Don't forget the importance of a good diet. Daily fiber with a balanced diet and only high-fat foods in moderation (~1 or 2 per week). Then, douches and enemas shouldn't be needed as often.
