Sex Fact: Safer Sex with Anal Sex

Kayla Kayla
Most people know that a condom is an easy way to use barrier protection for vaginal sex, but what about anal sex? If you want to explore anal sex, you have quite a few options for barrier protection:

Condom: Full-length condoms are highly effective at preventing STIs as well as UTIs. Today, condoms are inexpensive (and even sold here at EdenFantasys!) and available in large variety of shapes and sizes to customize your pleasure.

Finger Cot: Also known as a "Finger Condom", this type of barrier protection rolls down on a single finger for single fingerplay adventures. They're available in a variety of materials including latex, rubber, vinyl, and others!

Dental Dam: Using a dental dam, you can place this ultra-thin piece of latex around your lover's bum to be able to lick all you like! You can add in some flavored lubricant to slicken the experience too!

Glove: For full-coverage, you can use a glove - which also mimimizes friction and will help protect the bum from any sharp fingernail edges. You can purchase regular, medical-looking latex gloves, but if you want, gloves come in a multitude of colors now including black, pink, and others!

These sex facts were retrieved from the "Tickle My Tush" book written by Dr. Sadie Allison. We carry Sadie's other books Tickle His Pickle and Ride 'em Cowgirl if you would like to check them out.

What are your favorite barriers method for anal sex? Will you consider using different methods?

We've monogamous for over 20 years. As if this time we have not used any barriers for our anal play.

I've never used finger cots, dental dams, or gloves before, whether for anal play or not. My boyfriend and I are fluid-bonded, but we still usually use condoms for anal.

Always did anal with a steady lover and for the last 37 years with only my hubby (hubby for 32, boyfriend for 5). Never used a "barrier". Never had a problem.

We've never used any kind of barrier for anal play (or vaginal, either). Gloves could be fun, though

I'm married, and we don't use anything. If I were going to, it would be a condom.
