I read about using THICK anal lube. We LOVE gels. Then I read or hear about how "more watery but silicone based lubes penetrate better".

Anyone prefer THIN/WATERY lube of ANY kind for anal? If so, WHICH brand and type. We are game...and would try it.

Probe Thick & Rich is actually a surprisingly runny lube, but it works very well. It's super stringy though, so it always gets messy. The only other thin lube I've used was Astroglide, and I absolutely hated it; it ran everywhere and needed to be reapplied constantly. I haven't really tried any thicker lubes except for Maximus or KY, but Probe has worked better for me than both.

We use silicone which is thin - but that means no silicone toys - bummer (sorry for the bad pun).

Depends on the lube and the toy - some quality silicone toys are OK with quality silicone lubes.

I've tried it, and didn't have any permanent damage. With one lube a toy developed temporary "welts", but they went away.

I usually use mid-weight lubes. I'm with Spilock on Probe - works well and doesn't have anything that triggers my sensitivities.

i find silicone lube, even the ones designed for anal, tend to run too thin and they're not as super slippery as some of the gel lubes

We use Astroglide...very thin, very much needs constant re-application...espec ially when my wife's got her fingers up my ass. Seems to work better with our toys, though...but we've been talking about trying something silicone and thicker.

Try Maximus. Just search it on EF. Works great. Pretty thick

I'm not sure if thicker or thinner would work better... I think it's more important that it stays slick for a long time.

Not I....I need a thick lube that stays put for anal play.
