As with any other sexual act, the mood I am in at the time makes a difference in my position choice. Any way from behind is great, but it seems the majority of the time I like lying on my back at the edge of the bed and my husband standing on the floor, my legs over his shoulders, probably because I love looking into his face during. Locking eyes with him during sex turns me on big time.

I voted doggie but what I actually like, while close, is a little different.

I like to lay flat on my belly or with my butt just slightly raised by a pillow under my belly, legs together.

Weird, maybe, but it works wonders for me.

We're building up to full-on anal sex, but when I use a toy or my partner's hands, we've always done doggie. Though, I find that it makes me more tense than I want to be... any suggestions on how to relax, when the position almost requires you to flex your muscles?

Try a "modified doggie", bending over a pillow, edge of the bed, or something similar. It allows you to relax (since your weight is held by something) but still allows good access to the anus and your partner can see what's going on.

It really depends on my mood. Sometimes eye contact is really important to me, sometimes not so much. Often we switch positions, too.

Interestingly, cowboy is my favourite, but we rarely do it that way.

Same. It seems to allow for deep penetration without any kind of discomfort. Being mostly submissive I really like the weight of my boyfriend on top of me, too.

I'm not really warmed up to receiving full-on anal. Even just the first small push causes me to pull away. I do, however, appreciate a small plug during sex, so I'm hoping that we'll be able to work our way up to his size. I'm under the impression, though, that this 'downward facing dog' idea will be the way to go.
