We both had a lot of anal experience when we started dating, so it was not like it was new to either of us, but I do remember the first time we were in bed together, we were going at it "doggy style" and I reached back, pulled him out of my vagina, and put his penis tip into my tush and said "I want it". I didn't vote because it was kind of both of us.
Neither one of us had ever experienced any kind of anal play with previous partners but we were both curious about it. One time early on in our relationship we were fooling around and he "accidentally" touched my "other hole" haha (I think he was just testing the waters). I liked it so we just went with it.

Drunkly, and on HIS birthday nonetheless, he shoved a finger in without saying anything or previous discussion. It was really bad, but I was not completely against it happening again with some discussion. He didn't bring it up at all for a few months, then asked before trying it again. I informed him of some necessary changes (i.e. lube!). Since then, over the past year and a half, we've obtained a number of plugs. He likes putting them in during foreplay and keeping them in during intercourse, but he still doesn't like the idea of putting his penis in. He also does not want anal play directed towards him at all. He quietly asked one time long ago and was really not into it. I'm okay with that.
