I was just curious because ive seen porn videos where the women give oral sex to the man without no condom but then when they are about to hav sex he puts a condom on. You could still get an STD from oral sex.
I never have, but I think we need to respect other people's choices for their personal sexual life.
It is rude to say something that some people do and enjoy doing is "gross" or to claim "EW!" Certain acts may not be for everyone, but I assumed most of us here at Eden are mature enough to RESPECT other people's choices and not to mock, intimidate or degrade them.
None of us know everything about sexual practices and no one should judge an other for what they personally enjoy, even if you, yourself don't engage in it.
I'm very disappointed with the tone of some of the responses here. We are not normally known as a judgmental or prudish crowd, instead we are usually the ones to accept other people along with their sexual choices.
Saying what one enjoys is one thing, being disrespectful of an others choices is not OK.
Let's be a little more tolerant. OK? One's sexual maturity can be told by how one handles hearing acts one might not engage in oneself, and then whether one is still understanding that others may enjoy the act. That's kind of the whole point of being here, isn't it?
Some of the responses have made this poll moot. Few, even if they had, would now vote "Yes" so the poll is now basically unreliable.
If I had read the responses first, I would not have even voted. "you could get an STD from oral sex." Yeah, people engage in a LOT of edgy acts in porn, that's why most people watch it. Nothing in life is without risk.

nope and never would!!It's crazy though I see on craigslist ALL the time people telling ppl to just stop by for a blow and go! It amazes me...it could be so dangerous in so many ways.
Have I done it? Yes
I've browsed those ads when I felt very desctructive in my life and I've done it several times.
Would I do it now?
No, I'm in a happier state and in love.

Thank you for being honest, Illusional.
I totally support your honesty as well as your right to use your sexuality as you saw fit at the moment. Life is full of risks, as well as thrills. No one should feel bad for the occasional moderate risk behavior (blow jobs are really not a truly "high risk" behavior) that sated a need we had at the time.
Adults make their own decisions and no one should regret past decisions, as long as everything was consensual. Stuff happens.
I don't really see anything wrong with other people do it, but it isn't for me. Giving oral sex is something that I don't do very often, and have never given it to a stranger.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Way to go P'Gell. No one should be made to feel how I felt reading the responses on this forum.
Personally I haven't gone via the craigslist route---when I've done this it's been more along the lines of the stranger who wound up dancing behind me at a concert. Since there's no "let's meet up so I can give you a blowjob" expectation, if I had seen a herpes sore I could easily switch directions without high pressure.
And, yes, it's possible to contract herpes without cold sores being present, but it's a mild risk given that at my age and number of partners and number of partners' partners I've probably been exposed to the virus and successfully fended it off, because I've never had a cold sore and have had my antibodies tested (you have to ask specifically for this when you get STD screenings, almost no place will do it automatically).
So, for me, thrill outbalances risk, occasionally. I haven't really done this terribly often, but given appropriate circumstances, I don't see why I wouldn't do it again.
I'm a Rennie, so I've had a few one night stands at Faire. But I've always used a condom for blowjobs. It's not worth the risks to me to have unprotected oral sex with anyone who I am not currently fluid bonded with.

Herpes is a risk when you're kissing a stranger, too, and most people don't seem to be extremely wary of that... where do you draw the line?

Sort of... he was a guy I met and had coffee with one afternoon. I had talked to him a couple times before so we knew who each other were. I went back to his office and gave him an awesome naughty bj right before we fucked silly on his desk for about an hour. Then we went to subway for lunch.... lol.
Are we talking strangers as in; hooking up with some totally unknown person off of Craigslist, or stranger as in; somebody you met that night at a party or club. Because in my eyes those are different things. I have never done the former, but I've done the latter many times in my younger days.

thank you! it's the voice of reason. you're the greatest P'Gell.
I try to get to know someone's name at the very least (and maybe how old they are) so after that I can't consider them strangers, I guess.
it's porn so most of it is fantasy, but we need to respect the fact that people do have their own kinks. if having sex with strangers is one of them, I don't see the problem as long as it's consensual.
i think it would be awesome if a lot of y'all got off your high horse and be a little less judgmental, but that's my personal opinion
