My boyfriend has expressed to me that he would like for me to give him a rim job. Although it isn't a turn-on for me I would like to do this for him--Anyone out there have any tips, advice, suggestions?

I've never done it either--too much of a mental block at the moment and I'd need to get over that before trying it. If you'd like to try, though, I'd recommend using a dental dam or cutting open a condom to use as a barrier if the possibility of microbes grosses you out. Some websites suggest saran wrap (non-microwavable), but we've tried once with saran wrap and it was wholly unsuccessful.

I suggest doing it in the shower the first time. Have him stand and you get on your knees. Or after the shower have him lay on the bed on his back. He can stroke himself with his legs up while you tantalize while rimming and licking his balls and the base of his shaft.

Thanks to the both of you. I was thinking that we should do it in the shower for the first time just for sanitary & sensory reasons. I don't mind having sex without showering first, but I think for things like this it's kind of necessary, especially for the first time.

I do suggest being extra clean! just out of shower is good, but if he knows you will be playing"down there" he will make sure he spends little extra effort on it:} But it is deffinately worth the effort:} He will love it and if you love to watch him wiggle, you will learn to enjoy it too.

Let him know first so he can be ready both physically (clean) and psychologically.

If you use plastic wrap (nice because it's big) ball it up a couple of times so the "clinginess" is gone and make sure the "getter's" side is lubed

Oh I am glad that you mentioned lubing up the plastic wrap, ScottA, I wouldn't have thought of that.

And yes I think that if I mention it he would be more than willing to put forth a little extra effort. I will do that! I'm sure it will be a bit of a learning curve for me... Ah, the things we do for love.

This is something that both I and my partner enjoy very much. For the first time, definitely try showering first. I agree with the posts recommending that you do it out of the shower versus during. The water rushing down into your face is not very pleasant. If you want, try a little mild anal play in the shower, maybe massaging him there with your finger to help get things going. We enjoy this very much and make it a part of almost every oral session.

I don't do much in the shower because of fears of falling, but one thing to keep in mind for any kind of oral action:

Turn down the shower and focus it on your partner's other side. On their back if you're going down, front for rimming. Helps keep some of the waterfall out of your face. Not sure how you'd deal with the cheeks for rimming - I guess have them bend ovar a bit?

My husband absolutely loves to have this done. We are strong advocates of showering before this type of foreplay. Our shower is simply not big enough for the both of us. I tend to start with oral stimulation and then massaging his balls. Once he gets good and worked up, I move to licking and teasing his perineum area. Eventually he moves his hips to live me more access. Pillows are great for additional help in positioning.

Good luck and remember to enjoy. What makes him sexually turned on, will have a similar effect on you.

Shaving also cuts down on odor some. Makes it easier. Just washing the outside isn't enough. He needs to get IN THERE and clean too.

just what others have said. after shower, cleanliness is key. the more you are turned on the better it will go. don't force it, it will not be enjoyable for anyone. i do it sometimes, if not into it i will tell him before hand that i am not feeling it.

I completely agree, like any sort of sexual activity, if the giver is not comfortable nobody will enjoy things. Make sure that he takes the time to clean himself to make things as comfortable for you as possible. I hope you and your boyfriend have a good experience!
