Simple question, in a private poll.

Contributor: Beck Beck
After reading something, where a women said that she only counted her male partners, but had sex with women also. I got to thinking, clearly this women only considers sex as sex and oral is not sex. So I searched the forum and could not find this question.

So do you think oral sex is sex? And do you count these partner's that you only had oral sex with?

Do you always perform oral before having intercourse?? I do because if not, I get sore and I prefer no lube so that is another reason.

To me, sharing bodily fluids orally is considered sex. It brings pleasure and that is what sex is about for me.

I agree Tim.

Oral sex is sex. And I count these partners because it is important too. You can still spread diseases this way so you should count them.

Personally, anything with the word "sex" in it is sex. Be it oral, anal, vaginal, or any other kind of sex. And safe sex can (and should) be a priority in all of these sexual acts.

Well sex in the traditional deff of the word really is the whole concept of reproduction so technically oral isn't sex. However if you are stimulating those areas emotionally I cant see how it couldn't be.

So by the tradition definition Anal is not sex either? So then those whom are not in a heterosexual relationship do not have sex? Makes no sense.

I'm saying Websters dictionary... science book etc etc.... (I am not going from the generally accepted definition of the word) If you read on I did say if you are stimulating those areas I don't see how it couldn't be considered sex in the emotional sense. Sure I would say anal sex is sex and sexual orientation would really have nothing to do with it.

I read on to what you are saying, just asking the questions in general, I really was not directing the questions at you. By that definition it would exclude those whom are not in heterosexual relationships because they do not reproduce just like anal and oral.

I consider oral sex to be sex. I haven't had oral sex with anyone I haven't also had vaginal sex with, but if I did I would count them as a sexual partner, male or female.

This "oral sex is not sex" thing...you KNOW which "public official" that started with, and when all is said and done, it is the mental justification a lot of high school guys use on high school girls. "Oh...it really isn't sex....". RIGHT!!! Tell me some other fairy tales.

I consider sex of any type, sex.

I look at it this way: if you are monogamous and do not want your partner to have ANY type of sex with ANYONE what are you going to consider SEX to be? If my guy got a BJ from some chick, yes I'd consider it cheating and I'd consider it sex. Now that's just one 1 level.

I also consider any type of intercourse sex. If it ends in "sex", it's sex. I do, though, typically separate the two. If someone asks me how many people I've had sex with I'll say X-women and X-men (haha x-men ^_^ hehehe)

Hmm.....maybe it was because of the woman he was with that he didn't count it as sex?

First let me say I'm not judging other people's responses. To me not calling oral sex "sex" is an excuse for people to be irresponsible. More and more STI's are being transmitted because people are having oral and anal sex and not having vaginal sex and it doesn't mean that you aren't doing it. I do feel as a straight man, vaginal sex is "sex!" but at the end of the day the others count as well.

It also begs another question, if you are gay or lesbian (or other) does oral or anal not count?

I do count them in my total but I do not think oral, handjobs, fingering or rubbing are sex but more erotic forms of foreplay. I do not count masturbation including doing it in front of but not to others as either - the reason I keep my sex partners (those that I have fucked) as one set of numbers, those that I have done oral or foreplay with as a separate total and then a combined total. My bukkake party.... well... they jacked off without any touching from me...I did myself with my toy but with no touching from them...but they did cum on me as each finished. Not sure how to figure them in - lol. Thoughts?
