I wouldn't call oral sex "sex" in general, it's more a subset of sex in my mind.

I consider oral sex a sexual experience, but if I was asked how many people i've had sex with I generally only count intercourse. Although i've never had any sexual experience with someone of the same sex, so I don't if that would change my definition.

I'm a female who s attracted to both genders and although I have not had the chance to have oral with a woman I probably would count that as sex but a man that I've only done oral with I would not count... I know it doesn't really make sense and I don't really have a reason that's just how my mind works I guess...

Oral sex to me is not sex because I only consider penetration sex.

i consider it biologically where sex is penis in vagina which has the potential for egg and sperm to meet, but anything else i would consider a sexual 'act' because sexual organs are involved.

I'm a female, I keep a list of my sexual partners, and I don't consider oral sex as sex...

Yes, oral sex is still sex. Does that mean lesbians can't have sex? No, just no.

I count anything with the word sex in it as sex. Oral SEX= sex. Anal SEX= sex.

This is especially highlighted for me, as a lesbian. No, I have never had real penetration, but I think it would be ridiculous to say I was a virgin.

I don't count it because i have only ever been with one person in any way so why count it

I am a female and I do count them but on a separate list if that makes sense. So I have x number of men that I have had vaginal sex with and x number of women I have had oral sex with. I have never had oral sex with a man outside of a sexual relationship So its really two lists men and women.

Fluids do not have to be exchanged for it to be sex. Intercourse with a condom doesn't involve a fluid exchange, but I think we'd all agree that it is still sex.

I'm very careful about the way I use the term "sex," because for me, and for most of my queer peers, it doesn't just mean intercourse. It means a form of physical intimacy that can be anything from groping to fingering to oral to anal to intercourse.

Personally, anything with the word "sex" in it is sex. Be it oral, anal, vaginal, or any other kind of sex. And safe sex can (and should) be a priority in all of these sexual acts.
agreed

I think sex is sex, be it involve the mouth, P/V, or booty. First, all have sex in the name...to hit on the most obvious. Second, and more based on perception than anything else, sex for many is rooted in an intimate encounter - with a casual partner or someone more special. If you're sharing your sexuality with a living being physically it's sex in my book. I think though many will have different views on it, and it doesn't really matter to me. As long as you and your partner share a similar view, chances are your sex like will be rewarding.

Here's my question. Would you consider it cheating if you're partner had oral sex with someone else? I do. I see it as an intimate act. There might not be penetration with a penis but it is still a part of sex. So yeah, oral sex is the same thing as sex.

sex to me is intercourse not oral sex. Would a virgin who only had oral sex therefore not be a virgin? In my opinion, sex is intercourse.
