I'm personally not a fan. Fingers catch more on my pubic bone than toys or a penis and they press too directly on my g-spot, making it feel uncomfortable. Plus, they're lumpy and scratchy and I don't like gloves.

From the subject I thought you were asking if some people avoid using a finger before intercourse so that there is more of a 'shock' factor when his penis is finally inserted.
