best type of lube

Contributor: naughty virgin naughty virgin
I have some toys being delivered today, and I was just wondering what the best type of lube is. One of the toys is an anal rocket and I know its important to use plenty of lube. Also I have never had anything up the rear, are there any tricks to getting used to having something up there.

Go slowly, and listen to your body!

The type of lube to use also depends on the material of the toy. Silicone lube can't be used with silicone toys, for example. I've just stuck with water based lubes so far, but I definitely want to give silicone based a try too, as I've heard it's longer lasting and works in water.

I'd just stick with a common brand of water based lube for toy use. I personally don't like using silicone lube with toys as it's way too thin.

Sex though is a different story. The silicone lubricates well yet doesn't hide the texture as much as water based does in my opinion.

Go slow, relax and definately use some lube. If it's not working out for you on your first try or isn't pleasurable then walk away and try another time when you're more relaxed.

Anally, yes you are gonna want a water based lubed. You don't really want any oily, are enhanced lubes. The warmers and tinglers may be too much to handle. Also each toy you have should have material information. And each material can only be used with certain lubes. Make sure you pay attn to instructions.

I don't use silicone lube as most of my toys are made of silicone, sounds counterintuitive but silicone toys and silicone lube is a no, no.
I primarily use Maximus, great pump dispenser container and works with both vaginal and anal play.
With anal, as others have said...relax and go slow..there is always another time. Patience will pay off in the long run and anal play can be so satisfying.

Oil lubes can work anally provided that they are compatible with your toys. Water lubes are easier to clean up after, and are compatible with just about everything.

First of all, find a place where you can relax and don't have to worry about being interrupted, and find a position that's comfortable and doesn't require you to tense up muscles so you can relax. Lying on the bed with your legs up is a good start. It might be helpful to get a small mirror so you can just take a look at how things are arranged down there. Go to the bathroom if you need to before this.

Lube up your toy and your anus, then rub around your anus with your finger to get used to the feelings and relax. Then turn on your toy and play with it around and on your anus but not in it yet. Eventually you can start to insert the toy (wait until you enjoy the sensations, though). If you want to start out with just external stimulation for a while that's just fine - go at your own rate.
