Does sex get better with experience?

Has your sex life been like a fine wine getting better with time? or like a loaf of bread (stale, bland)?

It's getting better. Over time I've figured out more of what I want and tried out new partners.

I've been with the same partner and it has gotten better with time. We've learned each other better and tried new things.

This question comes up a lot. For a long time in the middle of our time together - it did not get better - it kind off trickled down hill.

But I refused to let it stand - finally my wife decided to stop fighting it and enjoy it. Things have gotten exponentially better since then.

Like many questions - simple yes or no doesn't tell the story.

Probably better with time. Always learning new things.

Definitely better. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that we refuse to accept things as the way they are. We're always trying to keep each other interested, impressed, and most of all happy.

Interestingly enough, there's a silent truism that states that if you're XX age, you must have XX much experience. Considering my own history of non-experience, I've run into guys who refuse to stick around to let me catch up because they think there's something wrong with me for not knowing "enough for my age" and that sex isn't awesome the first time because of it (and I thought *I* had the fairy tale expectations ... )

I'm finding, for myself, that the sex is getting better and more comfortable the more often I have it, especially with the same guy who has the patience to let me catch up. This is a first in which I have both a long-term relationship and sex at the same time, and I'm finally realizing what you all are talking about concerning the privilege of having amazing sex with another person. It's getting better every time.

I had to pick both rollercoaster options. Due to a series of injuries and medical happenings, I actually can't remember the last time my husband and I had sex... this part has not been much fun at all. But before that, things were awesome!!

Mostly better with time, a few times it's gone a little routine, but we've bounced back.

With my SO we've definitely gotten better with time. There are things we couldn't do when we first had sex that we can do now, such as me getting him off from cowgirl/being on top, him getting me off from sex without any toys, and we've both definitely gotten better at oral sex (;

It was a long haul for us--mostly me. Our sex life hit a plateau for awhile after about 7 years together. After being in a soso zone for a few months, we talked about things we could try to get it back to a good level. Then a great level--now it is an amazing level!! You need to keep working on it and not take it for granted.

Yes, married sex has been better since the trust has developed and we each know what each other likes. I miss the volume of single life though.

Like most of what I've experienced with life, when it's good it is wonderful, however it never lasts and I end up "crying" in the end.

It is SO much better with time. We have been together for 28 years and it's the best ever!!! The kids are gone and the house is ours to do what we want. Hubby has retired (but is busier than ever) and we enjoy our time together. We have introduced toys, furniture, and different things to change things up and it has been wonderful! I think the longer you stay with someone, the more comfortable you get, and the better the communication gets which leads to so many new things!!!

IDK. I'd say most incredible sex takes lots of effort from the persons involved in it, and that effort is more important than how many years you've actually been having sex.

It has definitely gotten significantly better over time. More change in the last year than in the first 7 years I was having sex. Multiple partners over time for me but in reality, it was learning what I enjoyed that helped the most and then refining the type of person I want to be with.

I think it depends. I CAN get better over time since trust is developed and you both know what the other person enjoys and seek after that. To often people get too comfortable though, and that can cause an issue. If your goal is always to please the one you love, than it shouldn't be an issue though.

better with time, plus its different with each partner and its soo much better when you actually truely love someone and are completely comfortable with them, and usually the longer your together and more often you have sex you learn more about eachother and do more things together
