Despite all the negative comments in reviews...do you still love your JELLY toys? Do you still buy new JELLY toys???

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
Last year I tossed many, MANY Jelly toys. I have bought a bunch of NICE toys since, and some HIGH END silicone, but honestly, I still miss the softness of some of my old Jelly toys. Especially my old butterfly vibe.

Are you a closet Jelly Toy lover too????

Be honest.

No, I threw my jellies out when I learnt of the chemicals in them. I have absolutely no desire for jelly. But it's also a case of most jelly and rubber toys having a strong odour which triggers off migraines for me.

No jelly or rubber in my collection. The lowest safety rating toys I have are Cyberskin/UR3 which don't effect my nose or cause me harm in any other way.

Absolutely not! All it took was one infection... no more jelly toys for me!

Nope, not for me.

I'd rather sacrifice a little squishy comfort for safety--there's always vixskin.

I actually prefer a harder material for my toys. Obviously I don't like chemicals and how they can harbor bacteria, but I also don't really like squishy toys in general. I'd rather use something that's plastic, glass, or metal.

Nope...stinging and burning in the whoha cured me of ever wanting another jelly toy.

I have never bought any jelly toys at all.

No. Once I learned of the chemicals in jelly toys, I threw out most of mine.

That said, I do have one jelly toy that I bought on a whim, and I have kept it..but I won't use it without a condom.

I prefer harder toys, usually. Or at least, firmer toys with a little bit of give. It depends on what I want it for. But jelly is a HORRIBLE material and quite frankly, nobody should use it, even if they want something cheap. It's not good for you, it can cause chemical burns, it can leak and ruin stuff, and it doesn't last that long. My advice: Just. Don't. Buy. Them.

If you DO buy them, use a condom. But they're still not that great, anyway. :/

After owning my first jelly toy, and seeing how quickly the material deteriorates, I stay away from them.

They can be hard to find, but lots of TPE and TPR (especially TPR silicone) has the feel and flexibility of jelly without corroding your vag and slowly melting your insides.

No. I stay away from it.

I prefer firmer materials too. The VixSkin line is squishy enough for me when I want a safe, squishy too. I've had jelly in the past, but not anymore. Besides all the other jelly info, they just never lasted that long in my experience.

I have one jelly to and I love it but I use it less and less after realizing how bad it is for you. I won't get anymore things made of jelly but I still keep this one around.

It's like when I saw Super Size me for the first time and weaned myself off Mcdonalds lol.

I only own one jelly toy, but it really knocks my socks off. As for the whole chemical thing, I wonder how many of these people smoke, drink, eat non-organic food, go to tanning beds, etc.? The sterilizing is definitely an issue, but the whole "it's bad for you" thing seems like hardly a warning considering the earth we live in.

I don't know the numbers on who does what.

I don't smoke, I don't drink, I NEVER go to tanning beds (it's a particular pet peeve of mine. Why do it? A little "color" is a good trade off for almost guaranteed cancer?) I eat organic a LOT.

I got rid of the jelly toys I have. I have NO desire to buy any. Never again.

I try to live a healthy life, as much as possible. I try to eliminate at least the dangerous things I can control.

I like hedging my bets when it comes to my health.

I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, take medicines (perscriptions and non), drink caffeine, tan, and try to eat as healthy as possible. When things are within my control I try and do what is best for me.

My wife was having bad reactions any time we used jelly toys, so we donated them all to the local landfill. We will never purchase another jelly toy.

Nope. And it has nothing to do with the (well-deserved) hate, and has everything to do with the fact that the phthalates make me crotch burn a lot.

And! It really pisses me off when manufacturers are purposely deceptive about the materials they use.

I've got a few that I still use with a condom and I really don't see myself throwing them away if I can use them safely.

I've found a couple of softer silicone toys that I LOVE and seem like a suitable replacement for jelly for me. I like that they seem to be higher quality, even if they aren't quite as squishy.
