Dirty talk: Are we in or are we out?

I used to think dirty talk was like being plain out nasty & ugly. It's only in recent years have I discovered what it's about & I've only had 2 partners talk dirty to me. I made a few uncomfortable & stiff sounding comments now & then when I first experienced it w/ them. I didn't know what to say or how to say it. I'm much better w/ it now, but nothing like them. I have an issue too, as Inquisitor referred to. Using demeaning & abusive words never appeal to me w/ anything, for that matter.

Yes, a dirty talk class. How did I find it you ask, I looked for one in one of the cities I frequent. The class was held in one of the adult stores I stop into from time to time for various supplies. This isn't one of those darkly lit stores, in a questionable neighborhood with a sketchy guy behind a counter and cheap merchandise. No, not at all. While this place is tucked away, it is brightly lit and respectable. It has a Good Vibes feel to it.

Anyway, the class was taught by a Sexual empowerment mentor who also has her masters degree in Human Sexuality Education. I'll admit, it was awkward at first, but to help ease the obvious tension with a room of about 13 people in this class, we all created a story.

Most of the story was already there, we just had to fill in various sections of this story. We had to ask each other for nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs in order to complete the story. This was done to help break the ice and to get us all more familiar with using words that might be outside of our comfort zones.

After this was complete, we then read our stories out loud to the group. They were all quite bizarre but humorous. Once the stories were all read the presenter then went on to explain that there isn't just one way to talk dirty. There are multiple ways to do it and that you can tweak them all to suit your needs using various tricks. less
