There are definitely "toy free" nights around here, but it's not something that we really have to consciously decide to do. Just kind of depends on the moods we're in and what we want to be doing. Generally I am more often the one to bring a toy into whatever play we're doing but it's not something either of us needs to really enjoy each other.

We use something almost 100% of the time. I can't imagine not using a toy, even if it was just a cock ring. I have asked my husband to take cock rings off for a night if I don't want to have sex forever. He usually doesn't go for it. LOL. He loves those things. I'd be the same with my vibrator. I wouldn't really want to give it up. Luckily neither of us pay too much attention to how many nights we use something versus don't.

I voted that we rarely use toys. "Rarely" may be an overstatement, but not by much. I really don't have any toys for myself. I've thought about a fleshlight, so I talked to my wife about it, and she didn't seem all that interested in using it with me. I enjoy watching my wife play with vibrators and dildos, and she likes them but asks for me before long. She has also hinted at toning down the toys if I bring them out more than once a week.
